I DIDN'T TURN MY BACK ON BUSH!!
Edited on Fri Jan-21-05 10:57 AM by Faye
i stared right at all the black cars in his motorcade and BOOED every single one of them. one i swear was cheneys car, it was someone's car...whoever it was i gave them a super evil look, and just yelled BOOO!! with my thumbs down. lol man that felt good!

i saw members of Free Republic there holding signs :puke:

told off some freeper standing next to me, he looked like a younger Joe Scarborough, and he was just as much of an ass. lol

so tell me what happened that i didn't get to see. i know Cheney's car got snowballed but i didn't see it happen. then i heard there was some kind of rally that had to be broken up with pepper spray>? wtf was that?

oh, and someone please tell me about the Nightline report from Wed. nite about Bush stealing the election....i didn't get to see it.

btw, gotta drive home now. hope my car makes it!!! :hi:

1. Good luck Faye!
BTW... I'm not so sure I'd turn my back on BUSH either.

Might find something stuck there if you do.

Not saying what... Just something.

3. I turned my back on Bush during the oath...
I had it on C-Span here at home. Then I cried, because I knew the wrong people had just sworn false oaths.

22. One of the guys on Morning Sedition ( I think )
said - look on the positive side - maybe the oaths will 'take' this time. LOL - that would certainly solve a lot of our problems.

6. Faye I was disappointed in Nightlines
Election fraud coverage.Ted Koppel mentioned the thousands of angry emails about fraud. They did mention long lines in minority areas. They did'nt mention the Warren Co. lock down or the 4000 extra votes for AWOL in county with only 650 voters. They did'nt say anything about when there were voting machine errors they favored AWOL.

18. Hey Nightline, Thanks for Nothing

Hey Nightline, Thanks for Nothing

According to Ted Koppel, Nightline has been receiving numerous communications since the November election suggesting that an investigation of voting irregularities should be initiated by Nightline. So, to answer their critics, Nightline purported to do just that last night.

I must say, they have managed to bring new meaning to the word “superficial.” The conclusion of a couple of pollster basically boils down to “more Kerry voters responded to polltakers than Bush voters.” Wow! Could the answer be any more simple or any less impossible to verify?

The main question that Nightline elected to ignore is the charge that there was a direct correlation between the voting apparatus employed with an auditable paper trail and the reported discrepancy between the poll numbers and the vote count, This is the crux of the issue because if true, it is difficult to explain away. Of course, no mention of this particular issue made its way into the report.

For half the program, Koppel interviewed Cokie Roberts and some guy whose name I didn’t catch, purportedly to talk about the election. Naturally, they talked about past times when elections actually were stolen, like say in 1960. We even heard talk about Richard Daley in Chicago influencing or stealing the vote. Exactly how any of this “history” was relevant to the widespread problems in Ohio is beyond reason.

Curiously omitted was any discussion about the election of 2000 which Bush won with 56% of the vote. You know, 5 out of 9.

A side note to ABC: Please let Cokie enjoy her retirement and stop putting her to work. I still remember her outrage about Clinton’s staff trashing their office and of stealing from Air Force One. Did she ever apologize when those charges were found to be false. Where was her outrage with Ari Fleischer who allowed the charges to fester when he had to know the truth. She’s just another GOP talking headache.

9. Thank you Faye, for being there to represent those of us that were not
able to be there in person. I salute you and the rest of the patriots who made it to DC, and to the other protests around the country in order to show the world that there are Americans who do not bend over and let Bush and his minions have their way with us.

14. You folks made the coronation of King George fun.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I was so depressed because I couldn't afford to go (my car ended up in the shop on Tuesday) and when I saw the thousands (that's what CNN said - thousands - not just A thousand, ThousandS, and you know they always under report the liberal show rate.) my spirit soured and a smile appeared on my face. What a wonderful show of unity. And there were thousands through out the country who also protested. Oregon had two thousand and then there was the funeral in New Orleans. God you people are wonderful. Not to mention I didn't spend a dime, not even to pay for my prescription.

Ted Koppel's show was an anti-news story. No voter fraud (just shenanigans), nothing to see here, move along.

But you folks were great. I can't stop looking at the pictures. I'm saving my nickels and dimes and will be at the next one (May? March?) Anyway, money is not going to be an issue next time.

17. I saw an MSM article here yesterday that said TENS of thousands
Edited on Fri Jan-21-05 02:26 PM by Der Blaue Engel
I think it was the Washington Post...I'll go look.

on edit: It was the Washington Times:
http://www.washtimes.com/upi-breaking/20050120-054857-1664r.htm

"Huddled in masses, staving off the cold with layers of clothes, wool hats and gloves, many of the tens of thousands of protesters began their day at Malcolm X Park on 16th Street for the D.C. Anti-War Network rally and march. They amassed under the cause of what they said was emancipating social justice from the grasp of President George W. Bush and ending the U.S. occupation in Iraq."

Once again, YOU ROCK, FAYE!!!!

Sorry I wasn't there (wife got sick), but I think I saw you on TV. The basic story is that the motorcade was an unmitigated disaster for Bushit. He was loudly booed the whole way.

15. The booing was so effective on TV....
and the thumbs down message was also very clear all along the route. If I'd been there, I would have had a hard time turning my back, too, prefer to give the evil eye... From a TV viewing perspective, I think yelling and evil eye was more effective than turn your back --for one thing, there were lines of cops who were also turning their backs to the motorcade, which confused the symbolism. However the people who turned backs AND held up a sign over their heads...that said a lot, visually speaking.

Thank you Faye! and all who stood out there in the cold and yelled your hearts out--for something BETTER than this! (Like real democracy) You Rock!:toast:
