I am noticing in more and more Repug forums/blogs/websites that for some reason--they are attacking Kerry again with a vengeance. Perhaps it is because they are very fearful of him. I believe that we are a strong force here at DU and we should embrace Kerry for his strength and his fortitude and start putting him forth as a candidate at this time. My vote is for Kerry/Boxer--because as one astute DU'er observed--our country is not ready for a woman President at this time, but we sure as hell are ready for a female VP and Boxer is the lady for the job. I read (have no idea of truth) that the Repug ticket will be Bush/Rice in 2008 and that is the reason that Bushcon is pushing her up the ladder. We want to make sure that our party puts forth ONE candidate so that we don't split like we did with Dean/Kerry and we need to ensure ONE message. As an entity here--again I believe that our force of numbers should mean something--we need to push Dean to the chair. It is our party and we should make sure that we have a say in how it is run and who is running it. Our message needs to be strong and sound and when the Repugs sling mud--by God we need to sling it right back and not be pantywaists. We want to keep those with GOP ideaology out of our party by voting them out. Feinstein needs to be at the top of our list. I just believe we should stand as one--with a clear message, a clear goal and a clear purpose--to win back our country from the thugs that have it now. We must unite in our goal. I understand and believe that election fraud existed. That has to be corrected--but we need to also keep focused on the next competition while the wheels are turning on this. Thats just one opinion. Who is with me?

1. Not me, although I agree they're fearful of Kerry |

I think it's way to early to put forth ANYONE as a candidate, or to count anyone out, for that matter. There is much to do before putting forth a candidate - the first thing being that election reform happens, and that us having a candidate even MATTERS.
I hope they have very good reason to be fearful of Kerry.
While I like the idea of Kerry/Boxer, I just think there's no sense in thinking about any candidate until we make sure it matters.

puts kerry on notice, what he does from here on out matters big, and vp boxer nothing better, perfect bringing her in. more the type female i would want for first into office, more than hillary personally. not attack or anything.
but also, gore should have been,.......in a way we allowed the diminishing him, he was owed that spot, he earned it. same with kerry. instead of trying different, more a message of, he earned it, this man.
and he has already gone thru the garbage. they have no more too attack him on but hte same ole. can address and dismiss that showing how sick the repugs were in the 2004 campaign
an interesting htought. thanks for this post. will ponder

and, I also think that we should work patiently to teach Repugs we know that *co. and his cabal are not real Republicans. They are neocons who do not care about what have traditionally been Republican values of small gov, fiscal responsibility etc.
