JOIN HANDS! We all need to help Conyers get Dean elected as DNC chair!!!

Who do we contact? Anybody here in the know that has links?
This is something that could make a profound difference... PROFOUND!
If Dean activates his base, getting them ALL to support vote reform,
the momentum created could not be stopped.

Let's do whatever we can do to get this done. It won't take that much
effort by everybody here. We can do it. I will fax, email, snail mail
take off several days of work... we have to get Dean in as head of the
DNC.

Sorry that this is a duplicate post, but I felt it was so important, it
needed repeating.

Anyone that can piss away the mega-millions that Dean had in the primary and end up with nothing because of poor campaign decisions has no business holding the purse strings of the party. Dean has a valuable role in the party as a spokesman, but not as chair.

3. Email those who will be voting for Chair

Contact your State Democratic Party HQ and ask them for the contact info for your state Reps who will be voting for the DNC Chair. Email your reps and encourage them to vote for whomever you support for Chair. You can also email all of those who will be voting.

If you set up the links to the contacts here, you will likely get more to email those who will be voting for DNC Chair.

They may already be here somewhere, I'm new!

Contact your elected party officials and let them know how you feel.

then contact your local DFA organizers (Democracy for America)to network with.

By the way the PDA (Progressive Democrats of America)also endorses Dean for DNC chair. PDA is just fisnishing up the PDA 2005 Summit in Washington DC - where Conyers and many many others convened this past weekend.

6. 400 elected members of the DNC will be voting for Chair

While anyone who is registered to vote as a Democrat is a member of the Party, there are 440 members of the Democratic National Committee.

The National Committee has 9 elected officers: The Chair, five Vice Chairs, Treasurer, Secretary, and National Finance Chair.

Membership on the National Committee is composed of individuals selected by the Democratic Party organizations in each state (including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico), the U.S. Territories (American Samoa, Guam, and the Virgin Islands), and Democrats living outside the United States and those Territories listed above (Democrats Abroad).
