3. Not only was he terrific, I think we really need to take his |
|
suggestions and support independent media! Writing letters, sending faxes and making phone calls is good too. I try to take 2 hours out of my schedule every day and devote it to this.

11. Question for you, Will |
|
but first, thanks for your first-rate work!
Do you know of projects/organizations that are being effective in bringing internet access to poor and rural communities? I may be getting involved in something of which this is a piece, so I'm in the initial stages of checking into what's out there. I have some resources, but don't really know anything about them. So if you know of folks who are doing good work on this issue, please let me know here or by PM or email.
Thanks.

5. I love this quite from Will: |
|
So, I -- you know, I sit there and you say -- you remember the 2003 State of the Union address? Well, what about it? Well, in the State of the Union address in 2003, Mr. Bush said that there were -- what was it? -- 26,000 liters of anthrax; 38,000 liters of botulinum toxin; 500 tons, which is one million pounds, of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent; 30,000 munitions capable of delivering the stuff; mobile biological weapons labs; and uranium from Niger for use in nuclear bombs. By the way, the page describing all of this is still up on the White House website today. It's called “Disarm Saddam Hussein.” You can go find it yourself. I said that's a pretty big lie. His response: That was the democrats lied about that. Miracles of nature, some of these people.

This was very uplifting. I fully support this. The internet is one of our most powerful tools. We need to work to get access for everyone.
