Hello all! I thought I'd ask here for some help writing one of my Colorado Senators. Senator Wayne Allard and congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave are attempting to get the anti-gay marriage amendment on our next ballot! The real reason they are doing this is that there is a SERIOUS threat in this state to replace our Republican Governor with a Democrat. We managed to replace a Repub Senator and a Repub Rep. on Nov. 2, 2004 and the goal is to go for the Governor as well. We have a Dem majority in our state houses and it is time we kick another neo-con out of office.

Allard and Musgrave are well aware that putting THIS on the ballot will likely draw many more Republican voters than the actual governors race and that is why they are doing this.

with enough votes to keep her job THIS time. Next time she's gone! I believe Allard is probably already a goner. Even my conservative neighbors are getting tired of him!

6. Oh yes, That is EXACTLY what they are!

Neither will get niceness from me either! I USED to get at least one mail promotion a week from Allard. I stopped getting them when I finally shredded one to pieces and mailed it back to him. All it cost me was 37 cents to get off his mailing list. Probably one of the best 37 cents I ever spent in my life!

9. My husband doesn't like THAT particular character flaw.

It has saved his butt a few times though. Never mess with a five foot tall blonde Irish woman in a rage! We don't usually hold much of anything back. Sometimes I curse my temper though!

8. Just an OT meandering.

Was at a party last weekend, heard someone saying that one problem
a friend of his is having right now is that where there is no gay marriage, there is no gay divorce. So if a couple is married in another state, they have to go back there for divorce proceedings, which are ugly enough without that added inconvenience.

Then I started wondering whether spreading the term "GAY DIVORCE" around would have a positive or negative effect on public dialogue.
