New Hampshire Review looking for essayists for new Journal , Elect 2004 !!

The New Hampshire Review

Sorry to crash your thread, but I'm looking for a favor. I'm the Editor-in-Chief of new journal of poetry and politics called The New Hampshire Review. We're looking for progressive political essayists for inclusion in our inaugural issue. We've already had some outstanding poetry submissions, and expect our readers will be literary, but not necessarily political junkies. Therefore, essayists will have an opportunity to reach an audience which is unconverted, so to speak. As a new member at DU, I'm unable to start a new thread myself, and I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to post our call for submissions on my behalf.

With thanks,

Virginia M. Heatter

2. Hey
I could give you the perspective of a Far-Left person in a Far-Right state (North Carolina). I was working on an essay about the newly reintroduced Federal Marriage Amendment, and what it means to everyday people around here.

My grammer is much better than I use on here. (This is speed-typing :) I'd love to be a regular contributor if you're looking for that sort of thing.

We proudly border the only state in the union where gay marriage is legal, and have legalized civil unions to the west in Vermont. Despite Republican scare tactics we managed to go Blue this election cycle--so I certainly like the topic. Feel free to send a writing sample and abstract to submissions@newhampshirereview.com.

I'll just note that our submission guidelines contain a lot of important information and are available at: http://www.newhampshirereview.com/submission_guidelines.htm.

For the benefit of others thinking of sending us work, be aware that we will not respond to emails without the author's full name and address--i.e. anonymous submissions.

Best,
Virginia
