1. Thanks for the legal analysis.
When I found out they hit Arneback with a suit, I wondered if it was frivolous to claim someone who is not frivolous to be frivolous.

2. Absolutely -- any lawsuit designed solely to harass the respondent
is -- depending upon the rules of civil procedure of the state in which the suit is brought -- subject to potential sanctions from the court. That applies to Petro every bit as much as it applies to Arnebeck. But what's important, really, is that Arnebeck is *entitled* to defend himself by showing just why and how his suit had merit in the first place.

If what I'm reading in the papers is true (which notion, I know, ought to cause me to tread cautiously) Petro should be sanctioned for this. And I'm adding right now a link to the Conyers letter to Petro, in which he intimates (not too subtly) that he (Conyers) believes this is a politically-motivated suit intended to harass Arnebeck.

Don't think Conyers has a legal staff? You bet he does!

3. Do you think they're trying to drag Arnebeck back to Ohio..
since he told the Ohio SC he'd take his business elsewhere??

6. Would this then allow Arnebeck "discovery " to enable
him to prove his claims?

7. I'm wondering the opposite.
Try to nail him and shut him down. Though there'd be appeals.

Sometimes I don't want to know too much. Let these guys do what they gotta do.

10. Let's see here,
You can go to war, killing thousands, by making a totally false case about WMD, but if you file a lawsuit about voting problems you get yourself brought into court?

So that's what Democracy means to the republicans, eh?
