Six switched votes per precinct was all Bush needed in Ohio |
|
Bush's delcared margin over Kerry is 118,775 votes. There are 11,366 precincts in Ohio. 118,775 divided by 11,366 is 10.45. When a vote is switched from Kerry to Bush, Kerry's total goes down one and Bush's goes up one, changing the margin by two votes. Therefore, half of 10.45, rounded up to whole votes, give us a total of six votes per precinct.
So let me say it again: all Bush and his supporters would have had to do to steal the election in Ohio is get six Kerry votes per precinct, on average, switched to votes for Bush.
A little fraud goes a long way.

1. That's assuming there was fraud in EVERY precinct. |
|
Kinda farfetched, isn't it?

2. It's simply an average |
|
There was far, far more fraud than that in many precincts.

3. I realize that, but it can be misleading. |
|
6 votes sounds like nothing, but it would have to be much more as the number of "fraud-free" precincts decreased.

i think 11 were found in one precinct, that's even 5 more than the proposed 6 mentioned.
