Poll question: It's the (fill in the blank), stupid!
Which statement most accurately describes your feelings about the last election?

3. The media.
Fraud was a given. We all knew it, for at least the last 2 years. But if the media doesn't cover it, pull the threads together, no one will know.

4. "Terror and taxes" mantra
Like a layer cake: First the 'scare the crap out of people' base, then the 'only we can keep you safe' layer, then, top with a 'tax cuts keep more money in your pockets' frosting. The media attention to the Swiftie Liars hurt too.

My counter: 911 happened on W's watch. If fighting terror depends on information/intelligence, then how does alienating the rest of the world keep us safer? The WTC was bombed in 1993 and not again until 2001...that would mean that Bill Clinton kept us safe for even more years. Overseas attacks on military increased exponentially since the Iraq invasion...again, that would mean Clinton kept the military safer. A responsible POTUS does NOT cut taxes during wartime EVER...a short-term dose of adrenaline to the economy in the short-term will ultimately cripple/kill the patient.

The swifties were just bitter and had ZERO credibility.

7. all of the above
of course, but if it boils down to apathetic media vs apathetic people, I have to say if the media had done it's job, people might be in a position to have more to pay attention to. The masses are not stupid, but many are turned off. MSM helped them get there.
