Just called my sister in Iowa. As she picks up the phone, her youngest -- 3 years old -- asks, "Is that John Kerry?"
And her oldest -- age 5 -- sees a * commercial on TV the other night and blurts out, "He's a liar!" Then asks his dad if * is going to jail.
Yep, JK is on the line, America, and the sorry, lying excuse for a president we currently have is going bye-bye!
:D

I have an 11 month old and for the last couple of weeks whenever he would start fussing or crying I would say I know Bush will be out in just a couple days ... Help is on the way.... my husband would be in the other room and ask what's wrong with him (my son) and I'd say he wants Bush out!

This little boy, about 5 years old, says to his mom: "I wanna vote for John Kewwy!" ADORABLE! Everyone in line smiled.

3. Sad story about the flip side... |

On the drive home from school last week, my daughter (age 8) announced, "Kerry is going to kill babies if he becomes president". ARRRRGH! Some scumbag at her Catholic school, possibly a teacher, or a child of a scumbag, has the kids traumatized with the simple logic that "Bush is good, he's pro-life", and "Kerry is bad, he kills babies."
Sadly, the image really took root in her little heart, she runs from the room or covers her ears if I try to explain that abortion is killing fetuses, not babies, and that thousands of abortions have been going on for years, Bush has done very little to limit or provide options to abortion (and that they have actually increased during his failed presidency) and he cannot somehow just outlaw abortion, and that nothing about abortion is going to change the day Kerry becomes president.
I might add, we are devout Catholics, and do truly believe life begins at conception and that abortion is contrary to God's creation, but DON'T believe that "being pro-life" is a good litmus test for choosing government leaders. It is a matter of faith, which nobody can enforce on the diverse population of the US.
Sorry for the rant, it just really pisses me off how the repugs can successfully drive a wedge (hopefully temporary) between me and my own little daughter.

6. We carved a pumpkin with Kerry's face and some kids recognized his face. |

When Bush is on TV my daughter says shut-up Bush we don't want to hear you. Then I tell her not to say shut-up and I secretly smile. Also my daughter can read the words Kerry and Edwards on anything. Keep in mind that the only other words she can read are "a", her name, "the", "cat" "rat", you get the idea!
