Tom Feeney R- FL asked me to Dine in DC with the PREZ today....

I had a nice lady call from his office this morning who played me a real live tape recording of his voice telling me I was a business leader in the community and would I like to have dinner with the preZZZZ and advise decision makers on matters of importance and be an honorary business adviser commissioner? This comes complete with an inscribed gavel like they use in the Senate... I kept listening in amusement as I might have a couple of choice words for these folks..
They then wanted to use my name in a full page ad endorsing the Blivet's business policies (red alert red alert)and all this would merely set me back 500 smackers payable in two installments if I preferred.
At that point I had the pleasure of telling the nice lady that I had a bit of a problem with this as I did NOT believe the resident in the White House had been elected president or that his policies were worth endorsing. She said she was very sorry and that she did not know I felt this way and to please excuse the call...
Funny thing is that I gave them a similar story last year when they called..

5. In this case, I think they might be targeting people to get

names (Hispanic in my case) for the full page ad in the major media (WSJ, I think) supporting B***'s failed economic policies. They mentioned more business tax cuts in their pitch. They were looking for both money and endorsements.

4. I had a similar call a couple of years ago when I was a small business

owner, although from Tom Delay's office. I never had a request for $. They offered to fly me to DC to meet with other small business owners on policy. Since the call was so unexpected, I stated she had the wrong person, as I was a Democrat who would never be interested in working with Tom Delay.

Way to tell them off Melissa. Yep the thought of them using your name in a full page ad supporting bu$h would make you puke.

On the other hand think of the thousand they do dupe this way. I remember a similar story on some doctor's recently on DU, where they made each of them think they were the only ones getting the award. Of course when they showed up there were many of them. Liars! And let's not forget to add extortionists.

8. Funny. I've had two different Repug congress-monkeys call me too.

The first time, I didn't think much of it, but the second one was a little creepy. Fortunately, your response was mine -- I don't support the never-elected smirking chimp who stole my White House.

I sure hope that our messages -- coming from every direction -- are perculating downward to Rove's dungeon, and that he's getting ulcerative colitis about it.

12. Correction Tom Reynolds R-NY was the Front voice for the National

Republican Congressional Committee who apparently controls the guest list for this Black Tie dinner to be held June 14th in DC. I wonder if taxpayer dollars are being spent to put on this dinner that they are fund raising 500 a head for the congressional committee to spend on Shrub's ad?
