Daily Voting News - 13 May 2005
Today all Texans should be mourning the death of HB-166, a bill that was the best chance Texans would have for a voter verified paper ballot. Voting activists in the state have worked very hard to get this bill, or any bill that guaranteed them verifiable elections, through the legislature. Unfortunately, those efforts were met by politicians who do not care about verification as long as they can win the elections. We all owe the Texas citizen activists a large debt of gratitude for their selfless work. Thank you.
