In other words, is "rBr" a justification for CHANGING the exit polls (Kerry won) to fit the official result (Bush won)?

It cannot be justified, in my book. (Journalistic crime of the century!) I'm just wondering what's more worrying to E/M: that the delusion of Bush Cartel legitimacy be maintained, or lying to the American people about the most important election in our history.

Or maybe the only thing of importance to E/M is not getting Wellstoned.

8. Well stated questions, IMHO

The "reluctant Bush responder" theory, or rBr, has been totally discredited on these very pages here at elections. It is an after the fact, "Hail Mary" attempt to explain why the exit polls were all of a sudden so wrong.

As for our three probing questions, here a few questions that might answer some of what you ask (since we don't have any insider information). Keep in mind the National Exit Polls had Kerry winning at about midnight and then losing after an adjustment at around 12:25AM election night.

Have you ever heard of a "knowledge" company disparaging it's approach to a question and the answers it generates?

Have you ever heard of a knowledge company disparaging the answers it generates when that company has a stellar track record?

Have you ever heard of a knowledge company doing press releases saying how screw up it's product was?

Have you ever heard of a knowledge company hiring people from outside that company to explain why it's data and data analysis was so corrupt?

I haven't. In fact, I can't imagine why EM would do all of these things and still expect to be in business.
