Fwd: It's Time To Support Those Who Always Support Us
This is an email I received from the Patrick Henry Democratic Club. It contains an important message regarding making sure we protect our strongest supporters in Congress. I understand that some of these representatives have challengers with millions of dollars ready to try to steal their seats in the next election.

Subject It's time to support those who always support us
Date: 6/9/2005 4:08:04 A.M. Pacific Standard Time
From: chairman@patrickhenrythinktank.org

This year we have repeatedly asked members of Congress to vote our way on a great many important items. Ten members of Congress have listened to us and have been there and voted the way we have asked them to vote on every major issue. These brave individuals are our first defense in the fight against tyranny and oppression. While many members of Congress have supported mega-corporations and war profiteers over us, these ten have shown that they would rather do the correct thing than pull in the big bucks for doing the wrong thing.

The Patrick Henry Democratic Club encourages all Democrats to support
and contribute to the following people who never fail to put us first. Let’s let them know how much we appreciate their support. Let’s let all members of Congress know that there are higher rewards in backing the people than in backing the interests of mega-corporations. Please contribute as much as you can to the courageous individuals on the following list. Every dollar counts when some of these people will be up against corporate-backed candidates in 2006.

1. I agree.
That said, Don't you think you are getting a little too close to the border of Spam?

2. This is the Democratic Underground and they are our leaders.
These people are not going to get support from the corporations or from the Republicans. They depend on Democrats to know who they are and to support them.

3. I would argue the opposite in my case.
I haven't felt any support coming from any of those people in Congress besides Maxine Walters (and she and Conyers have been nonstop!) because it seems like to me, alot of the times these people have more important things to do than ensure voting is secure and america has fair elections. I could be wrong, but thousands of messages have been sent and they have not responded.

4. Everyone of these people voted against the Ohio electors
That's the first thing on the voting chart. They have all been active in voter's rights. Check out all they are doing.

I love Waters. If you like her best, you should contribute to her.

5. My mistake..
It seems that those in the Senate and Congress are not these people. These are the people that stood up with Barbara Boxer and are working on reform every day. I shall do whatever I can to keep them going.
