'Methinks the lady doth protesth too much' --> "Pure Political Fiction"?!
From the dark side of the moon:

Statement By RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman In Response To Democrats’ Ohio Election Report

Washington, DC – RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman issued the following statement in response to the Democrats’ Ohio Election Report:

“The report is pure political fiction. The undisputed facts in Ohio are: Democrat officials had to be stopped by the courts from misleading voters about the day of the election; a Democrat affiliated group paid a worker in crack cocaine to submit fraudulent voter forms; and Democrat allies attempted to disenfranchise Ohio voters by submitting registration cards for Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Michael Jordan. Republicans will continue to register and inspire new voters, make it easier for everyone to vote at the polls and protect everyone's franchise from being cancelled out by illegal or fraudulent registration.”

"Pure Political Fiction"?!
http://www.democrats.org/vri/ohioreport/index.html sure has Ms. Mehlman in a panty-bunch...

?? Is the basic idea that "Republicans" don't read anything and so their leaders really feel confident in spinning anything any which way? I mean Limpball's audience is supposedly avowed atheists when it comes to the religion of 'literacy', but do they all really not read? ??

BTW I'm looking for the perspective of fellow 2004ERD's since we're now just about 8 months out (232 days to be precise ;^) ) and most of the rest of the country and the world doesn't think about the election "every day" like ** does about "Erack", but I'm sure many here do :^) (http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/06/21.html#a3572)

The body of misdeeds now is so large that the 2004 election "misdeed" may well not get the eventual exposure that the ideals of justice and truth would demand, as it jockeys for position among the growing number of competing impeachable High Crimes.

Remember, Nixon had a bunch of offenses congress was willing to impeach him on and he simply resigned so neither the ones in process, nor the bunch of other ones they had lined up, would be ultimately prosecuted and exposed to serious public scrutiny.

No matter what anyone says, 2004ERD is, at the very least, another important brick in the wall against the down-right mental corruption faced today.

1. If they didn't feel threatened by it,
they wouldn't have put out a statement almost before the report has been read.

2. oh, poor Ken Mehlman, poor fellow
The old "Miss Thing" is getting stale. He's betrayed how seriously the RNC takes the investigation by making it front and center in his response.

He's kind of like the guy who wears a ball cap 24/7 so nobody will know he has a bald spot / receding hair. Might as well have a glowing red sign in the air, pointing the way. . .

4. The only problem is
there is no smoking gun tying this to Blackwell or anyone. And the 'pubs used every dirty trick in the book. They didn't use the same tactics in every county.

I'm not even sure that this was masterminded by anyone - in the sense that no one called a particular county official and said "do this on election day".

Right wing radio's theme the week before the elections was "Democrats are going to cheat - they are going to steal the election". I think that in many counties, GOP individuals did what they could on their own initative.

It is also my belief (although I can offer no proof), that in some counties the Dem officials are really moles for the 'pub party. Whether these people act on their own accord or are part of a greater conspiricy is questionable. They can get all the marching orders they need from right-wing radio.

6. Acid tongue, poor Ken (haha). He deserved that! Outstanding post.
This is the beginning. ERD is so advanced on this that it will take them a while to catch up. Each point * drops in popularity will equal an order of magnitude increase in receptivity for what we know, the truth, the fact that the election was stolen.
