1. Is there a single panel member who isn't bought and sold?
What the hell is the point of this charade? Has anyone on any of these panels actually addressed REPUBLICAN election fraud? Or is this going to be just another day of 'Dems in Wisconsin slashed some tires, and Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were registered to vote in Cleveland...we MUST work to stop this to restore the integrity of the voting process!'

Norman Fucking Ornstein?

Jimmy.... PLEASE go back to building houses, PLEASE stop putting lipstick on this pig!

2. Please note:
"written testimony may be submitted to cdem@american.edu "

Let it rip!

As for the broadcast of the phony one, and the non-broacast of the real one, all I can say is: Typical!

By the way, this crap pile of a hearing on 6/30 is apparently being broadcast on an educational channel (or with educational facilities) at American University. Are there no STUDENTS there who could demand coverage of the REAL hearing or arrange for its webcast? Oh, and I see that Rice University in Houston is involved.

Back up: This whole phony "commission" has emerged from American University. In Houston, Rice University facilities will be used to webcast it on 6/30. Are there no STUDENTS at either place who want the real news? (--or dissenting faculty?).

Houston organizers, I think this is worth a call to Rice U. student journalism, media and progressive political clubs, and maybe some student there will email other students, and get something going. It seems a natural for a student broadcast.

American U. students should also be contacted. But AU is apparently not directly involved in Houston or the webcast of the phony "hearing" of this phony "commission" on June 30.

6. Carter-Baker guy grilled by Dr. Richard Phillips, Harris, Landes
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 09:18 AM by rightfoot
Here is a post I found on the BBV forums about a situation that happened yesterday, when witnesses for Kip Humphries Election Assessment Hearing jumped in with unexpected questions for Robert Pastor from the Carter-Baker Show:

"Yesterday was the meeting that presented evidence the Carter-Baker Commission didn't ask for -- i.e., real evidence...Kip Humphries had a wonderful idea...he set up the un-Carter-Baker kind of hearing, called the Election Assessment Hearing...three people from the Carter-Baker hearing decided to come into the Election Assessment Hearing (only to listen to themselves speak, of course; they didn't bother to come listen to any of the witnesses presenting evidence, and left after their bit was done.) One of them, Robert Pastor, was allowed to be a witness himself.

About the first thing out of his mouth was an endorsement for federal centralizing of the voting system, and the next was a cheerleading quote for how wonderful HAVA is.

Kip Humphries did a brilliant thing ... he brought the substance right to their back yard, called the press, and ultimately got the Commission's Robert Pastor on tape responding to questions from Lynn Landes, me, Dr. Richard Phillips, and others. Again, shows how one ordinary citizen with common sense can make a real difference.

Now the Carter-Baker Commission is on tape ... saying they are "looking into" the situation about two brothers ending up controlling two corporations that count 80 percent of the vote, and they can "deal with" the problem of Black Box Voting hacking the voting system without knowing how the hacks were done, talking to the computer programmer who did it, and without asking a single question about it, or even asking to read the report, and a statement that the evidence of Dr. Richard Phillips and Rev. Bill Moss (Moss v. Bush) is "not relevant" because it doesn't represent any systemic problem."

Eric

On edit: the word 'me' in the post refers to Bev Harris who wrote the post, not me - Eric

Not to give up on Pastor, He acknowledged EAH and those present
