Bush Approval Rating Hits Career Low in Post/ABC News Poll Sept 12,2005
Sept. 12 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush's job approval rating is at the lowest level of his presidency, 42 percent,
amid public dissatisfaction with the government's response to Hurricane Katrina, a Washington Post/ABC News poll shows.

Bush's rating is down three points since Katrina hit the Gulf Coast two weeks ago, according to data released today by the Post.
Fifty-seven percent disapprove of Bush's performance in office, a double-digit increase since January, the poll found.

Public approval of Bush's handling of Iraq also is at an all- time low of 38 percent, as is approval of the way he's dealing with the U.S.
campaign against terrorism. Fifty percent say they approve of the way the war on terrorism is being conducted, compared with an average
approval rating of 69 percent over the previous 40 Post/ABC polls.

2. Every time they report it as the lowest, it goes up.
I wonder what it truly is. It must be abysmal. (Deservedly so.)

3. Lies, all lies.
If they reported the actual approval rating of ~20%, the jig would be up.

4. What's truly bizarre to me is, my right-wing friends, although they have
abandoned * they won't admit Kerry or Gore would have been better. Go figure. I guess the disgrace of a BJ is worse than this disgrace.

5. In a strange way that's understandable.
No one likes to admit that they've been duped...it's basically admitting that you're an idiot. Plus, there's that thing where everyone likes to be on the winning side or whatever. What sucks, is truly not enough people in this country vote on policy....it's all image (i.e., lies all lies.) I need a stiff drink.

6. Make it a double.
Yeah, OK, it may be understandable, but that just makes it more unbelievable. On second thought, I may need heavy narcotics.
