NORTH CANTON, Ohio (AP) — Automated teller machine maker Diebold Inc. on Wednesday promoted two senior-level executives to the positions of president and chief financial officer.

Thomas Swidarski, the former vice president of the company's financial self-service group, was named president and chief operating officer of the company that also makes security systems and voting machines.

Former corporate controller and acting CFO Kevin Krakora was named vice president and chief financial officer.

Swidarski joined the company in 1996 and has held several positions, including in marketing and strategic and business development. Before working at Diebold, he was a manager at PNC Bank and other financial firms...

Thomas Swidarski, formerly vice president of the company’s financial self-service group, will take over as chief operating officer, according to a statement from the Green-based company. Kevin Krakora has been appointed chief financial officer, after serving in the role on an interim basis since August. Mr. Krakora had previously been the company’s controller.

Former chief operating officer Eric Evans left the company last month after CEO Walden O’Dell called the company’s financial performance “unacceptable.”...

"It is critical that we proceed at this time to fill these key leadership roles with people who know our business and understand our customers' needs," Mr. O'Dell said...
