What is the difference between Diebold Accuvote TSx & TS |
|
I know the TS x is not certified. For the upcoming election the following counties are using Diebold Accuvote TS:
Los Angeles Ink-A-Vote OS Ink-A-Vote OS Diebold AccuVote-TS DRE Plumas Diebold AccuVote-OS OS Diebold AccuVote-TS DRE Diebold AccuVote-TS DRE
There are several other counties using Diebold but they use Accuvote OS
Sorry I am not quite clear of the difference and why the TS is certified

Ooops. Thought it might be wireless modem, but I don't think that's it. It's got a landline modem, like the TS.
The feature that may be different is that the screen and electronics module is detachable from the voting system (booth, stand, base), so it's portable. Not sure. That might be it.

Secretary Shelley, and it is still posted on the CA SOS on top so it must still be valid. I will not get to see or use these machines unless I vote early, here in LA County.

3. TSx=VVPB printer; TS=R6, Georgia/Maryland versions |
|
The TSx is the newest Diebold version and includes the voter verified paper ballot printer attachment. It IS ITA certified, BTW.
The TS (R6) is the older, non-VVPB printer DRE installed in Georgia and Maryland - certified to 1990 ITA standards only.
