Seeking Election Justice MUSIC

The Election Justice Music Project is about to be born. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness about election problems through music.

So far I have Victoria Parks "My Vote Don't Matter Anymore" and Laramie Crocker's "Little Black Box." Both are excellent songs and if you haven't heard them, have a listen!

I am actively seeking more songs for this project. I know there are more out there. If you know of any songs that qualify, please have the musician contact me, or let me know who they are and I'll contact them.

To qualify, the song must at least mention something about election fraud / irregularities etc. Also the musician must be willing to allow free downloads of the whole song.

Here is the webpage for the Election Justice Music Project. It is still under development and has not been announced to the general public yet, but your're welcome to have a look.

Please let me know about more songs to include in this project!

Thanks
Gary Beckwith

5. Victoria Parks has an awesome voice
I just listened to the Victoria Parks track called My Vote Don't Matter Anymore. The song is great and her voice really stands out as the strongest part for me. Wow. Gary has it on the project page but here is the direct link to the .mp3.

Great voice and an equally fantastic musician. He does some nice blues type stuff. I particularly like his song 'Black Blue Morning'.

9. Majority Report's Bumper music.. Manfred Mann's Going Underground
 Maybe?

GOING UNDERGROUND
Some people might say my life is in a rut
I'm quite happy with what I've got
People might say that I should strive for more
I'm so happy I can't see the point

Something's happening here today
A show of strength with your boys brigade
And I'm so happy and you're so kind
You want more money of course I don't mind
To buy nuclear textbooks for atomic crimes
and the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this society's got
I'm going underground
We'll let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
I'm going underground
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow

Some people might need some tension to relax
Me, I'm too busy dodging the flak
What you see is what you get
You've made your bed you better lie in it
You choose your leaders and your place your trust
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust
You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns
And the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this society's got
I'm going undergroud
We'll let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
I'm going underground
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow

We talk and we talk until my head explodes
I turn on the news, my body froze
The braying sheep on the TV screen makes this boy shout, makes this boy scream
Going underground
We'll let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
I'm going underground
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout

And the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this society's got
I'm going undergroud
We'll let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
I'm going underground
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout

And the public gets what the public wants
But I want nothing this society's got
I'm going undergroud
We'll let the brass bands play and feet start to pound
I'm going underground
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
I'm going underground
We'll let the boys all sing and the boys all shout for tomorrow
I'm going underground
I'm going underground
I'm going underground

12. Don't forget Loser version 2.0...
Using Beck's very popular 1993 hit Loser, "In the time of chimpanzees, Bush was a monkey..."

It even has a Flash movie and the vocal and musical stylings of DU's own Bleever.

http://bushcheated04.com/loser.html

In the time of chimpanzees Bush was a monkey,
Butane in Rove’s veins as he ran the junkie.
Newscasters lying while we tube feed the vegetables,
Dog food dinners for the grannies stealin’ Tylenol.
Kill all your brain cells and put it in neutral,
Iraq is flamin’ with the loser and the cruise control.
Babies in Gitmo is how Rummy plays D,
Gamble with democracy, try to kill diplomacy.

Someone came sayin’ I’m insane to complain
About a looted treasury and a stain on my country.
Can’t believe what they want us to breathe,
You get a lungful of mercury and a moron in the lead.

So you change some votes with a few keystrokes
Doin’ cages in Florida, and lines in Ohio.

George says he’s emperor
But he’s a cheater baby
He stole the election (fascism meltdown)
George says he’s emperor
But he’s a loser baby
So why not impeach him.

Forces of evil in a bozo nightmare,
Playing all the rubes with a phony echo chamber.
One is a weasel as the others sport the flag;
A mother alone gets her son back in a bag

With the rerun wars from Mr. Cocaine nose job,
The devious bullshit of a race war flip flop
A GI hung himself with a guitar string;
A slab of cannon fodder and he’s hanging so he doesn’t sing.

I can’t write if you can’t relate,
Trade the cash for a gay bash for the body for the hate.
And this time it’s a piece of crack
We’ve fallen for the bad times, we’re choking on the nightmares.

George says he’s emperor
But he’s a cheater baby
He stole the election (fascism meltdown)
George says he’s emperor
But he’s a loser baby
So why not impeach him.

“If this were a dictatorship it’d be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I’m the dictator.”

George says he’s emperor
But he’s a cheater baby
He stole the election. (I can’t believe this)
George says he’s emperor
But he’s a loser baby
So why not impeach him.

George says he’s emperor
We’re all losing baby
So we’ve got to change it (Sprechen sie Deuthsche baby?).
George says he’s emperor
We’re all losing baby
So we’ve got to change it. (Or there’ll be nothin’ to be sayin’).

George says he’s emperor
We’re all losing baby
So we’ve got to change it. (I can’t believe this)
George says he’s emperor
We’re all losing baby
So we’ve got to change it.

20. It's an original as any song Weird Al does and there is no monetary gain..
and Beck would I think approve if he knew. Beck would not be able to claim the existence of Loser version 2.0 caused him to lose money on the sale of the 1993 Mellow Gold.

21. I understand, it's just that
it really is a different thing to compose a song completely, and in order to make a CD we would definitely have to get permission from Beck.

23. CHECK THIS OUT...
http://www.art.net/~4ss/

Click on Recordings and go to the song, "The House of White." Just a snippet of the lyrics:

THE HOUSE OF WHITE,
by Four Shillings Short

They came one day on the darkest night
The thieves broke in to the House of White

They stole our rights and destroyed our votes
They changed the words, and destroyed our hopes.

When I was young, there were sunny skies
And the priests and nuns fed us truth and lies
They fed us fear till our eyes were blind
They showed us hell, to put down our minds.

Chorus
Those who question authority we are the majority
And our struggle will not be in vain.

And those who kill in the name of peace
World leaders……………world police
What will they gain from all of this pain?
What will they gain from all of this pain?
