Question: Has anyone tried to correlate voting software vs. outcomes?
What would be interesting is a study of the correlation between the introduction of Urosevich controlled (Global Election Systems, Diebold, ES&S, I-Mark, etc.) voting equipment of any stripe and changes in the ideological makeup of their clients.

In two high-profile cases (Hagel in 1996 and Georgia in 2002) there is a 100% correlation. I wonder if it holds up under a more general scrutiny?

Is it possible that the biggest smoking gun of all is in the history of the rollout of Republican controlled voting equipment?

1. "Is it possible that the biggest smoking gun of all is in the history of
the rollout of Republican controlled voting equipment?"

Yes.

Everywhere the rethug-favoring machines go, rethug "surprise upset victories" follow.
That, along with the SCOTUS overthrow of the 2000 Pres. election, has pretty much ended democracy here.
Ohio has it the worst right now:

2.  Paper Ballots = Buchanan Wins, Computer States meant Dole "Landslides"
Paper Ballots = Buchanan Wins,
Computer States meant
Dole "Landslides"

by Doug & Jinnie Voorhees,
Mooresville, Indiana

Where neighbors met in caucuses for the 1996 GOP Presidential Primaries, or where paper ballots were hand-counted in the precincts, Patrick Buchanan did well, or won.

Where computers "counted" the votes, Buchanan always "lost" badly. After Arizona, Dole "won" every contest in overwhelming "landslides", often as high as 81% to 19%.

3. The voting machine scam and con game is the biggest in US history.
I thought from your title you were comparing the various types of voting machines to determine which of them is associated with the most fraudulent elections.

In my opinion, the ES&S scanners are the most dangerous. I disagree with others on this score. If we had REQUIRED AUDITS for every election, that wouldn't be the case perhaps, but I really think this is the case now. They're programmed I believe more subtly than the Diebold junk machines.

It just makes me sick to think the American people (and not the American people so much as the opinion makers, the newspapers, the media, the Dems themselves) have allowed and continue to allow these for profit companies to sell machines that are built to steal elections and just go merrily on their way doing that in every election.

If there's ever been a more blatant example of how our democracy is up for sale, I can't remember ever hearing about it.
