Been hanging out in Alito forum this past week, working on that. Making me crazy...too many talking about taking back the country in '06. too many don't get that we'd never be in this position if they weren't stealing elections. Right now I am so discouraged.

1. Like the Dem pundits say - yeah there is funny stuff. And if we have
enough of a majority voting against the Repukes... there is nothing they can do. Dems will win.

Don't teach apathy.

3. Don't teach learned helplessness either
I'm sure you understand that there are still going to be paperless electronic voting machines in use. The only thing you need to know about this is that unverifiable voting means we can't know the true outcome of an election. Fraud is not the issue. Partisanship is not the issue. The only thing that matters is a system designed to create inherent uncertainty. You can buy into that if you want. But that is your apathetic response. That is your failure to withdraw your consent and complicity. Go ahead and throw yourself into the gears of the machine. Getting chewed up and spit out seems to be the M.O. and then we say thank you for the very fun ride. Fuck that. Non-violent revolution is necessary, NOW!

4. Good point: these other distractions keep Dems from realizing the truth!
These other issues are good because they are bringing in more and more people, but as they come in thay hve to be reminded and shown convincingly that the real issue is the voting machines. Until that's solved nothing will be any better.

I keep thinking about what the Congress would have been like, what it would be like now, if Cleland (GA) and Strickland (CO) and Mondale (MN) were in it. And they would be but for the voting machines.

And Kerry would be prez as well.

There has to be a voter-verifed paper ballot AND REQUIRED AUDITS FOR ALL ELECTIONS.

I feel that way about the "Kerry Won/Exit Poll" discussions.

5. I just posted this:

We need to be out on the Alito threads sounding the alarm and recruiting people instead of watching them tear their hair out.
