The mods have changed so it is time to do our regular check in.. Does any one want to change a shift or need some help? I am available for back up just pm Melissa G with a little bit of notice if possible in case you need some help. What about the rest of you regulars? Any newbies out there who want to learn how to help? We Love to see new faces on our screens!

17. Is that 1/2 Dome in your avatar...I've been to the general area

a bunch of times, Yosemite, and camped at Nevada Falls many a time, in my earlier epoch.

mail or email. :)

20. I've been to that spot 4-5 x's. Yosemite many, many more x's.

We'd hike up to Nevada Falls on a switch back trail from the valley and then camp right at the top of the falls, as close as we could get. There was a trail and you could go to the top of 1/2 Dome on a cable path. That has to be where 'base jumping' started. There was always one or two wild types who'd parachute off of 1/2 Dome. I'd climb the rail for the falls and go to the edge and just sit there. What a view. The Muir Trail is there too. Wow, deeper you get on those trails, the more interesting the people are...hmmm....yeah. I took my family there in the early 90's becasue I wanted them to see how amazing Yosemite is. Took my dad too. Guess where we stayed? The Awannee :rofl: That's how I camp now. Every memory of Yosemite I have is positive, even the time the brown bear was eating a box of raisins I fogot to tie up...right at the opening of my tent. He finished, snorted and left.

21. LOL! It's my favorite spot on this planet. We used to stay

at the River campgrounds and spend whole days at Mirror Lake Annex, with our boys jumping off the rock in the middle of the water, over and over and over.

If I ever get the Big One up there, he'll probably rough it at the Awannee, too. :rofl:

It had not changed in for years before I got there and I'm sure it hasn't since. It's a trip back in time and the dining room was really first rate...so good you feel real guilty and then have more;)

16. I'm fine with Monday-Tuesday but I need a helper.

I can't believe I did this four days a week. That's to MelissaB's persuasive ways.

I do want a helper for Mon & Tuesday.

I generally post between 11 p.m.- 3 a.m. Sunday/Monday night for the Monday and Tuesday threads.

The help I need is (a) someone to add a few stories each day and (b) someone to handle the publicity
tour and fan mail/hate mail.

I got a helper when FogerRox was working on that. The helper has not been seen since so that's
a good rumor.

Just a comment. Since this crew has been doing the news, the quality has been both very high and very consistent. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best election fraud - voting issues news service on the net, by far. And we don't even really coordinate on message, emphasis or anything. It's terrific.
