also the media likes them See what the Carteret County Coalition for Verified Voting
has to say about paperless voting; several of its members were among the 4,500 who lost their vote
in the 2004 General Election.
North Carolina. November 2004 -
More than 4,500 votes were irretrievably lost in
coastal Carteret County on paperless touchscreen machines,in November of 2004. The machines used during early voting had
a capacity issue, and the machines allowed over 4,400 people
to cast ballots that the machine was not recording.
