Here's an article that really covers the main points and shows how activists in CA at least are beginning to get the message on target. It's well worth your time to read the whole article. VotersUnite
Here's what one peace activist, David Troy, who if he's not a DU-er has been influenced by DU, had to say: "Nothing is going to change ever if the people cannot express their will with the vote. If there is not a democracy, then we're not going to change anything. And there is not a democracy. We are not a democracy anymore."
Refreshing to hear the truth finally being expressed. It will catch on I'm sure.

TOPANGA – Across from Abuelitas's Mexican Restaurant on Topanga Canyon Blvd., people gather to hold signs in a regular Friday evening vigil. Cars drive by honking in support of their signs. People stop and chat in front of heavily bumper stickered cars. Some might say their message is left-leaning. Others might say their point is mainstream thinking. Either way the group is determined to make a point.
"The next meeting of the Topanga Peace Alliance is going to deal with one issue that touches every American. The vote," David Troy, a Topanga Canyon resident who is a member of the Topanga Peace Alliance, said in an interview last Friday. "I'm holding signs about the war. But nothing is going to change ever if the people cannot express their will with the vote. If there is not a democracy, then we're not going to change anything. And there is not a democracy. We are not a democracy anymore."

In a decision that came down today, the United States District Court in Oakland entered an order remanding the voter plaintiffs' lawsuit by Voter Action to the California Superior Court in San Francisco where it was originally filed on March 21, 2006. The Court's decision in Holder v. McPherson et al. rejected an effort by California Attorney Bill Lockyer, Secretary of State McPherson's attorney, to transfer the case from state to federal court.
