Report from Court in SD re: CA-50 election contest, starring Land Shark
Edited on Fri Aug-25-06 08:14 PM by emlev
The judge in the CA-50 election contest took constitutional and jurisdictional matters under advisement and will rule on Tuesday.

I think this is a good sign that he's not just buckling under to the pressure of the NeoCons. He may yet buckle, but I'm willing to give him a chance.

More about the hearing today at BradBlog.

Brad spoke briefly about the case on the Peter B. Collins show today, approximately the last 35 minutes of the three-hour show. The show will be archived here.

Donations are still needed for this court case and the struggle for fair and transparent elections in CA-50. You can donate and learn more here:
www.nosleepovers.org.

Thanks, everyone, for keeping this issue kicked this week! We'll do it again next week!

(Edited to correct sloppy editing earlier.)

1. Interesting. It's a good sign on it's face but only leaves time
for the bribes to go out.

We need to mount a pr campaign, my friends. One that is louder than $

WAY TO GO, LANDSHARK! PLEASE LET'S NOT STOP HERE!

11. Way to go Team Democracy...a hearing, a review..now a decision.
Who would have thought it would even get to court. And as these things go, even without interferrence (The House Administration Committee Lawyer), they're usually tossed. We'll be sending positive thoughts to Jusge Hofmann and moving forward to Tuesday;)

Congratulations to Lehto & Simpkins, Friedman, Emlev, & Patriot and all the others -
but especially to the Land Shark  that ephemeral spirit that comes to live
and bites you right where you need it.

20. Let this be the turning point on the road to democracy! Go Landshark!
BTW. Has the DNC contributed to this effort? I am afraid to ask seeing how they didn't help efforts to fight for the vote in Ohio-it was all up to the Greens and individuals donors.

Thanks Emlev for the coverage-GO LANDSHARK! (Couldn't we get a Landshark avatar to show our support?)

feel free to ask them.

22. Yeah...as if we in Ohio have direct contacts to their purse strings! Self
funded. They don't even acknowledge us here. Election theft is a directly little secret that the parties don't want to discuss (except our hereos such as Conyers, Boxer, and the CBC)

2. Thanks emlev, and LAND SHARK
This story, and the Zogby poll should stay on the front burner. People have to know what is going on and that we have not only the law but the numbers on our side. Keep telling this story to everyone you meet.

3. Thanks Emlev. I don't think he can possibly rule in favor of the scumbags.
or maybe, if he does, we'll finally see our uprising a la Mexico....
(just some wishful thinking.)

7. They're grasping at straws. But it's our job to decide
if this is the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Have we had enough yet?

Or, as GuvWurld puts it,

Has the Consent of the Governed been withdrawn yet?

15. If this man dismisses this case
as opposed, we have another constitutional crisis-

do we need our "little booklet wielding Senator Byrd" to weigh in and send a "letter" oops, sorry, "amicus brief", to judge Yuri Hofmann?

16. i am really tempted here - anyone a constituent of Senator Byrd?
Edited on Sat Aug-26-06 12:23 AM by rumpel
He will probably respond better to a letter of emergency from someone from his State in conjunction with someone from SD, CA.

If the judge is "thinking" (Bradblog's latest report) we need a brief before Tuesday noon.

any thoughts?
