1. They don't want to be seen as tin-foil hat wearing freaks |
|
Talking about voter fraud without serious evidence to back it up causes them to lose credibility to a lot of people.

8. Yes- the old "the media & GOP will be mean to us if we do that" excuse. |
|
There are plenty of factual instances of "glitches" and "irregularities" from 2000, 2002 and 2004 that are documented fact. They could discuss these things factually- but then they would have to get their fingernails dirty and take a few hits.
The "strategists" who lost the last 3 elections tell them to leave even the factual or plausible instances alone- and I am not so sure that is a good idea- it leaves the door open for it to happen again.
I'd rather have them pick fights with proven liars who's only defense would be to call them names than have them set themselves up for more "glitches" and "irregularities" in the future.

But it's ok to give him a pass on that yet bash the ones who are interested in election reform and wanting the make it better. Hint...

4. I've been noticing that for nearly 6 frigging years |
|
and it's not just the two of them.
The whole party leadership seems to be pussyfooting around the fact that the electoral process is totally FUBAR in most states.

6. Most of the DEM "leaders" are too frightened to discuss controversy. |

The "strategists" who lost the last 3 elections whisper in their ears and tell them:
"If you say that, the GOP & media will say mean things about you- they will say you watch the X-Files and call you a conspiracy nut-better keep your powder dry and let it blow over..."
The fallacy in this "strategy" is that the GOP/media will slander, lie about and smear us whehter we fight or whether we act meek. Considering this, we may as well fight.
I think you have a viable point about this- and it is not just with elections- I can list many issues where the "strategists" who lost the last 3 elections told us to "Keep your powder dry" and were wrong.
I'm just hoping we win in November so that I will have to make less of these types of posts.
I want to support DEMS, but I cannot support or be silent about poor, weak media strategy.

11. And judging by the last 6 years |
|
and the glacial pace the Democratic so-called "leadership" takes and their desperately trying not to be too extreme or offend anyone, we'll all be behind barbed wire in domestic Halliburton internment camps by the time they finally figure it out and speak up. Habeus corpus is already down the drain.

Or at least powerful elements of the establishment?
See Lieberman.
