Mexico's Election Fraud: What the US Media Didn't Tell You
Mexican Election Fraud Version
by Steven D
Sat Oct 21st, 2006

For a very chilling analysis of how the recent Mexican Presidential election was stolen by PAN, the conservative ruling party -

Read http://www.thehumanist.org/humanist/articles/Anderson-NovDec06.pdf (caution: pdf file link)

Mexico's Election Fraud: What the US Media Didn't Tell You, by Kenneth Anderson in the Nov./Dec. edition of The Humanist.

What happened in Mexico is both an object lesson and a cautionary tale. Let's hope we don't have a similar experience in our own elections this November.

1. What an Outrage! here are some highlights:

The Bush administration gave a no bid contract to Choicepoint for databases on Latin
America Terrorists! not middle eastern, mind you but but latin american countries with left leaning governments or threatening to be left (ChoicePoint did the Florida felons, as you recall)

Companies and partners of Calderon's brother-in-law designed the computer
systems (tabulation software) of the Federal Election Institute

Calderon's party PAN had access to federal voter registration data which is illegal

At 3AM the trend which had Obrador winning SWITCHED (sound familiar?),
then a constant and unwavering 1.1 per cent margin for calderon

vote totals didn't match the percentage said to have been won by each candidate
the PREP count was at odds with exit polls, interior officials had asked network
executives to keep exit polls off the air

several million ballots found in garbage dump (favored Obrador of course)

precincts favoring calderon by up to 100 to one! at the last third of the tallying -statistical impossibility

videotape of IFE official stuffing ballot box!
despite overwhelming evidence only partial recount - but none of precincts with worst anomalies were recounted. Usually the tribunal which recounts would throw out precinct results with worst anomalies but this time, they kept them.

Aren't you glad we don't live in a country like that? Oh wait we do! In fact GWB deemed the election fair and the winner legitimate!

8. Isn't it odd
that there should be so much difficulty holding fair elections in the oldest "democratic republic" on earth? I am refering to the Us of course. That there should be so much similarity between the US and Mexican electoral problems should tell us something!
Mexico has been corrupt for decades and elections have been routinely stolen by the most powerful group. It is a relatively recent development in the US, co-inciding with the Bush -Republican ascendancy.

If any country should know how to run fair elections it is the USA. The fact that we cannot do so to the satisfaction of the electorate means that the people will have less and less faith in the process and in the "elected" officials. When that mindset becomes entrenched then democracy is ended.

9. The similarities to the US are what is so scary about this
and the obvious hand that the US had. The thing is, Obrador is really pretty moderate, as the article states, but our media actually called him a "leftist" as I recall.

The database from ChoicePoint with "terrorists" is mind blowing, and I heard that Bushler was accusing Venezuela of helping terrorists this morning on AAR, Bush & Co sure have put 9-11 to a lot of use haven't they? even in purging Mexican voters and personal vendettas against Venezuela.

10. Hey Mirandapriestly
I sense a kindred spirit! I have read other posts by you and they are right on.

It is amazing that the term "leftist" still has such negative connotations in today's America (especially in view of how far right the right has veered: fascism, literally)!

I have nothing but respect for Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales for standing up to the Bushies, the NWO and the "rightists" in thier countries in an honest effort to raise their populations out of poverty and bring some hope. We should be so lucky in America.
