Another wild Idea
Lets say the machines somehow allow enough votes for Dems to go through and we actually win.

Don't you think it would be a good idea to claim the machines were hacked and that is why the Dems won?

Can you imagine having nearly all the Publicans suddenly on our side and also asking for an end to e-voting? Wouldn't take long for the 'Boston Harbor Act' to take place, eh?

1. No
If you say that they were hacked, I can see them demanding that we forfeit the win.

2. yeah
just like we will do if when the Publicans win? Just like we did when they stole it from Al Gore?

Forfeit the election? Now that's crazy.

3. Asserting that the machines were hacked if we win is out of the question

5. Why?
We now assert they were hacked in 2004. And we know they can be hacked a thousand different ways. But most of America hasn't a clue, and we need to keep the heat on the machines no matter who wins.

So if we do win we keep saying the machines are hacked, only this time we also put a bug in the ear of the freepers that the machines - so easily hacked- were hacked by Dems.

6. K&R Either outcome the losing side is going to dispute. I understand and agree
with your thought process. Ultimately our goal is true democracy via Hand Counted Paper Ballots.

8. Exactly
We must take every opportunity that presents itself to defame and ultimately destroy any remaining credibility the machines have somehow acquired.

Whatever happens, however the vote results play out, we must continue to recognize the machine's danger to our democracy and continue to educate people about that danger, and advocate for the removal of the machines from the election process.

You base your claims on the data. If the exit polls showed the republicans ahead but the machines gave it to the Dems, then yes, it would be appropriate to ask questions about that and pursue the facts. If it looks like the paper ballot areas match the exit polls but the DRE areas are skewed one way, then you follow the leads.

But you don't base your investigation simply on who won and who would be helping your cause if you questioned the results.

But let's back up. It doesn't matter who wins and it doesn't matter if it appears legit. No matter what happens, secret vote counting and unsecure election systems has to GO. We welcome people of both parties to join the cause, because it's the right thing to do.

..but you came back home.

"No matter what happens, secret vote counting and unsecure election systems has to GO."

The idea has nothing to do with investigations... all those are done and the answer is: "STOLEN"

What the idea is about is if by some miracle the Dems get enough votes through the machines - probably only by huge turnouts - then they will say the Dems machines stole the votes. All we do is agree, and we wouldn't be wrong because you know the machines WILL steal votes, right?

on edit: strikeDems insert: machines
