Shenanigans in MO.
Democrat Kay Dolan has filed a petition seeking a new county auditor's election in Johnson County, Missouri.

Dolan lost to Republican Teresa Collins by four votes out of 14,860 cast, according to the petition.

In the petition, Dolan claims a polling place in Pittsville ran out of ballots in the evening, and that some voters went home without casting votes. That, Dolan's lawyer says, means a new election is needed.

"The evidence will be that there was such confusion at least 46 people walked out. We're here to say the process is broken," attorney Pat McInerney said.

1. I wondered if anyone else had heard about this.
I couldn't find an article about it since the Wsbg paper is not online but it's the front page article.

I read something Dolan and about a few others.

10. I saw the link.
I really thought it would be in the Star. 4 votes and 46 votes? That's a big deal and it needs addressed.

Kinda has you worried about the reporting for the Star if something like that isn't reported. We are talking only one county over and it's a rapidly growing county at that.

3. Right now just hope for the best.
I've met her before. She's a sweet person and she really does care about what happens around here.

4. Okay, if she needs $$ or phone calls/emails on her behalf, spread the word here on DU, OK?

I just wanna add, that election sounds beyond fishy, beyond beyond beyond. Isn't there, like, an automatic recount when the tally is that close? I mean, 4 frickin votes!

5. I thought there was
but not in our county.

Monica Penrose, Dem for Prosecuting Attorney, lost by 46 votes total. I'll probably see her in a few days-I'll ask her if there is anything needed for her or Kay.

I don't see Kay as much, mostly just around town and I'm not as familiar w/ her as I am Monica. But I'll pass this info on to a few groups in my county in case there is anything needed.
