I heard she was practically pandering to the religious right days after the election. This is a 180 for her. Good girl, Nancy.

4. That's not "Nancy's page" |
|
Edited on Sun Nov-14-04 02:55 AM by TahitiNut
She has nothing to say about what's shown on that page. The congress.org website (not a government site at all) presents letters (email) people send to various Congresscritters. That's one such 'letter.'

You got to wonder how many people didn't review their votes and correct them. And why do all the stories always seem to be about people voting for Kerry only have the computer tell them they voted for Bush. Did it happen the other way -- not that I've heard so far. Either it shows the machines to be incredibly unreliable. I wouldn't bank at a machine that made these mistakes -- EVER. And yet we're supposed to trust them with our votes?? I don't think -- PAPER AND PEN ... OR FIGHT!

11. Spotlight on the fascists: Well Congress...we're waiting. |
|
Who will be the first brave soul to stand in the chamber and accuse the traitors? Who will have the courage to remove the cancer before it metastasizes?
Fascism will not be tolerated in this democracy.

12. it's just a letter TO her, not FROM her. There are some good quotes, tho: |
|
We hold the just balance and set ourselves as resolutely against improper corporate influence on the one hand as against demagogy and mob rule on the other." - Theodore Roosevelt
“Our whole constitutional heritage rebels at the thought of giving government the power to control men's minds.” – Thurgood Marshall
"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, it to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution." - John Adams
"What good fortune for those in power that the people do not think." - Adolf Hitler
"It also gives us a very special, secret pleasure to see how unaware the people around us are of what is really happening to them. " - Adolf Hitler
"Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything." - Josef Stalin
"Fascism should rightly be called corporatism as it is a merger of state and corporate power--Benito Mussolini "Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day." - Theodore Roosevelt
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” - Dwight D. Eisenhower
"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin." - Samuel Adams
"When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic." - Dresden James

16. she didn't choose it, when you mail a letter whether email, print out, or |
|
pay for the hand delivered option through the congress site, they give you an option to make your letter public in the "letters to leaders" section, it may be random, or approved, or new ones, but i doubt she chose it, theres some crazy ones somtimes, i do recommend everyone send letters to their reps, its a good tool.

|
I doubt it would be there.
This shows the willingness of some reps to actually listen to the concerns of the people.
Good for her.
I feel a tidal wave coming.....

19. There was another letter |
|
posted on a different congress critter's site last night, that someone posted here. Same format though, it was a letter about the election being stolen and it was posted front and center on the website.
I wonder if there letters are going to start popping up all over on their sites?
