Military Ballots in Broward County, FL
Buried in an AP story about people who voted twice:

County Wants Investigation Into Voters Who Tried To Vote Twice

<snip>
Meanwhile, the board tallied ballots for 87 Broward voters serving in the military.
Those voters chose Democratic candidate John Kerry over President Bush, 51-34. Two did not make a choice in the presidential race.

<snip>

The military ballots were counted in Florida on 11/13. It would be interesting to see just how the military actually did vote, considering our assumptions and historical voting trends, that they favor repubs.

Also in the story and notable after the big stink about not counting military ballots in 2000:

<snip>

The number of rejected overseas military ballots was not available, but County Judge Robert Lee said more were rejected than counted.

<snip>

All who have an interest in the absentee ballots should be heading to their local supervisor of elections and getting this information before it disappears. For two reasons:

1. Does the military support the Chimp in charge?
2. Past experience with Broward County: that's where the cheating always was before.

1. Soldier on NPR today
from Tennessee (in Georgia at present) said he signed on for 8 years and he's going on 9 now--stop loss will send him out again in Jan. 05. He's taken it to some lawyers to find a legal way out. Said he doesn't think it's fair of the gov't. not to honor their end of the deal but doesn't want to disobey orders and go to jail either and abandon his family like that. Said he knew it was unusual for a military person to speak out but that most troops in Iraq feel pretty much used and abused...but with the lack of transparency in voting (with supervisors in the know), hard to vote for other than *, I suppose...

2. You know what?
For all those who remember the KSTP story about al-Qaqaa, that was a local station making national news. This is another local station making what could become national news. This gives me an idea: major regional news organizations are not under the close scrutiny of the powers that be like the major news programs for networks. If we want to get news exposed, it will come through SECONDARY markets. We need to get on this.

3. The more I think about it...
...the more convinced I become that our systems could be subverted intentionally, and it wouldn't require a conspiracy, just some creative social engineering. I'm in Missouri. I know plenty of people that voted for Bush in 2000, and Gore in 2000. I know persons who had been in Iraq, and are serving in Iraq now. And now reports like this, in addition to some of the after-election polling, the fraud and "talking points" debunked that has already occurred. The RW religiously insane swept in there pretty damn quick to "claim the glory" and the corpowhore media was all too eager to comply.

I do not now, nor shall I at any point in the near or forseeable future, consider this to have been a legitimate election. BushCo have sacrificed tens, maybe hundreds, of thousands of lives to further their agenda. They have lied to the people of the US, to Congress, to the UN, and to their "god".

I wouldn't mind seeing how the demographics for the military vote break down nationally. They also have families that no doubt make decisions regarding elections based on the reports of their kin.

Our present national government is illegitimate. Insert Decleration Here.

4. Well the AF and Navy probably gave Bush their standard numbers
but I do not think the Army did. And with the Marines who knows.

7. Ironic, isn't it?
That in 2000 the claim was "ALL the military ballots must be counted." And now we have a county judge who says "there were more (military votes) rejected than counted."

10. There are about 1 million registered voters in Broward County
"the board tallied ballots for 87 Broward voters serving in the military. Those voters chose Democratic candidate John Kerry over President Bush, 51-34."

---snip---

"The number of rejected overseas military ballots was not available, but County Judge Robert Lee said more were rejected than counted."

So, with 1 million registered voters they ony had 87 voters in the military. And of the 87 ballots, the majority weren't counted???

In other words, more than 50% of the overseas military ballots in Broward were uncounted.

Now, I wonder whose ballots were uncounted. Kerry voters?

Couple all of this with the fact that Broward supervisor of elections Snipes had tens of thousands of absentee ballots disappear.

Gauleiter Jeb had the previous duly elected Broward supervisor of elections Miriam Oliphant removed, and put in the unelected Snipes.

12. If someone lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area
they should go to the faux supervisor's office and ask to see the ballots and ask why the ballots were discarded.

In fact, I think I'll e-mail the Sun-Sentinel and ask why they aren't on this story.

11. You can bet if military votes were in favor of *, it would be all over MSM
Are they downplaying this? Could it be the military is NOT in favor of the Demander in Chief?

More stats will tell.

15. It really is strange, the comparison between 2000 and
the demand for the military's vote to be counted. Now we here nothing, no interest in the soldier's vote, if it favors Kerry
