Any ideas on who won the military vote from over seas?

I would like to know if the soldiers still support the mis-administration. Is there anyone looking at vote totals coming in from our armed forces?

I know that in the AP story about a Broward County voter investigation there was this blurb

"Meanwhile, the board tallied ballots for 87 Broward voters serving in the military.

Those voters chose Democratic candidate John Kerry over President Bush, 51-34. Two did not make a choice in the presidential race.
The number of rejected overseas military ballots was not available, but County Judge Robert Lee said more were rejected than counted."


so somebody is counting in Florida, what about the rest of the country?

as reported by one of the networks (can't remember which one) that 80% of military vote went to Bush. It was very early on and I think it was NBC so take that for what it's worth!

Bush actually won the vote of the military in Broward county? If so, those really are some brave soldiers because a lot of what I have read has been that officers (mostly Bush supporters) were looking over the shoulders of the underlings and my thought would be that many would be intimidated into casting a vote for W no matter how they really feel. Also, I read that across the country, many states' military ballots were being FX'ed or sent and being filtered through the Pentagon. I don't know if that sacrificed the privacy of their vote or not, but I certainly think it could have altered which votes would be let through and counted. It feels truly awful to be so distrusting and cynical but this is where we have been led. . . .

I welcome you as a newbie, but I doubt your intentions since you post such a ridiculous post. Kerry won the election, repukes stole it.

Since Kerry won (or at worse only took 55 million) it would seem that the party's message and platform is popular and approved by 55 million.

If anything, the party is trying to be too moderate and not distinquish itself from the repukes.

Man -- I am new here as well. But I don't know who you are saying that Democrats need to get more conservative NO! Democrats have become nothing more than watered down republicans as of late. What Democrats need to do, and by this I mean elected Democrat officials, is to get some guts and start fighting the repugs AT EVERY MOVE.

We don't need to get moderate, we need to get mad. Stop letting the Bush syndicate have it easy. Stop rolling over, and being afraid of being labeled. We have to investigate Bush and his gangsters now. If the Republicans can waste 50 million dollars and 3 years investigating Clinton we can sure enough do it to Bush. He obviously has many more skeletons in his closet. If we don't stay in his face, we won't have any civil liberties left. It's a shame that this country needs it's elections monitored by the UN like some third world country, but it's obvious we can't get a fair election on our own. We have to investigate the election now. You can bet they won't make the same mistakes in 2008 they did in 2004. If they cover their tracks better we won't have any evidence to get them. And no patriot should ever want anyone's vote suppressed. Especially someone fighting overseas. You have to remember they didn't send themselves over there.
