2. He also said that we were attacked because of what we stand for
and that Britain should support the US because they stand for the same thing.

He also implied or said that Iraq was involved in 911. Anybody else catch that one?

:wtf:

I hope his people call him to the carpet for this!

5. you can't really expect Blair to be aware of the fraud allegations at this
point it's hardly fair on him this hasn't even been given a wide scale airing in the US yet, and even if he was, what is he supposed to do, without anything proved he could hardly start screaming you're illegitimate at Bush. If somehow Kerry were still to be president no one would be more pleased about it on the international scene than Blair.

7. I didn't expect him to mention "fraud" at all.
My complaint is that he said 911 happened because of what we "stand for" and that since England stands for democracy then England should support the US (Bush), too.

Also, was Iraq involved in 911? Is that why we are there? I don't think so...

8. I'm sorry, -I was replying to the original post
I don't know what he said about Iraq exactly - I would need to see it or a transcript or something- although clearly Iraq was not involved in 9/11. On the broader point, I personally don't disagree with the idea that terrorists are against freedom, Bin Laden after all wants to create a pan Islamic fundamentalist state, I am convinced that Bush's methods of trying to ensure that freedom are wrong dangerous and do more to endanger it than preserve it.

4. He also implied that...
..this all boiled down to two viewpoints: Those who see terrorism today as a simple extension of terrorism of the 70s and 80s against those like Bush and Blair who see terrorism today as a new worldwide threat.

Bullshit!

It's more about those like Bush and Blair who saw Iraq as a nexus in the fight against terrorism after 9/11 and those who thought we should have stayed on the real trail of the terrorists.

9. Did Anybody really look at Blair/w * the other day? Looked like he was...
drunk, on drugs, or had just had a fight or something. (??)

His tie was on crooked and was not tied well, hair was a tad mussed, and his suit jacket didn't fit at all. Looked like it was about 3 sizes too small. Compared to his usual "proper" self, Tony looked a mess, at least that's what we thought at my house.

Even my mother (in her 80s) noticed this and wondered what the heck happened to Tony.

why would he even *need* to say that (haha)? since he just got back from his little chat with b*, my guess is that the bush cartel is worried.

12. Blair believes in the same 'democracy' that bush does...
lie to start a war, lie when confronted with his lies, avoid answering any questions, etc.

If blair believed in democracy, he would resign given that the majority of British citizens dislike him but support his party. He should step down in time for a new Labour leader to be chosen before the next election.
