Need link to report voting issues... |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-16-08 01:34 PM by Faye
Hi everyone, I forget the link to that site where you can report voting issues. I remember there was a site where you can report any voting issues you had and they all show up for people to see. Does anyone remember what I am talking about? My friend never received her absentee ballot from Pennsylvania, which also included a party change so she could vote for Obama (she was independent before). Anyway, she filed for it in time but never received the absentee ballot or new registration card, so now she can't vote :( She just wants to report it somewhere so I thought that site would be a good place, but I forget what it was! LOL
Thanks to anyone can help.

I have no idea whether this site is up to date, but maybe #5 on this page -- Communications -- could lead to the answer http://www.electiondefensealliance.org/election_day_rapid_response_2Also found report from 2006 midterm election - a compilation of incident reports-- http://www.votersunite.org/info/2006E-VotingReports.xls number to call was 1.800.OUR.VOTE ; I have no idea whether this site is up to date either... http://eirs.cs.net:8080/EIRS_WEB/User/findHome.do

she still never got her absentee ballot, but got her new registration card. She had her dad find out if she could just vote in person and was told yes, so she's just going back home to vote in person.

4. Hi, Faye. Is she a student, by any chance? |
|
Because they're going to try to pick off Dem students, for real.

well she 'resides' in Lancaster, PA and goes to college in West Virginia. She votes in PA. She was registered as independent but switched to Dem. to vote for Obama in the primary...

6. Heads up: They're going to try to pick off the student vote this time |
|
just like they did last time. Students, military, people of color especially black voters. Let's get ready.

8. True, but they make a special effort to go after students, |
|
the military and the black vote in swing states.
If we know where they're headed, we can at least try to fight back.
