Any one alse looking at the way the fraud is downplayed?
I love this stuff.

I love taking apart BAD arguments that are meant to mislead people.

Check these out by Josh Levin from the Slate:

“Cannon's analysis doesn't jibe with Slate's exit-poll numbers. A comparison to the latest vote tallies shows Slate's final exit numbers in the paper-trail states of New Hampshire (undervalued Bush by 5 percent) and Nevada (undervalued Bush by 3 percent) were less accurate than those in Ohio (2 percent off), Florida (3 percent), and New Mexico (2 percent). The other state Cannon lists, Illinois, won't require a paper trail until 2006.”

- That Is a beautiful S.O.S. (Sleight of Script) whose affect is to (not) effectively dispute the major discrepancies between the Exit Polls and the actual vote.
It’s very clever actually, what he does is show state polling ‘margin for error’, not precinct polling. You see – statewide, his numbers are correct, but the entire state did not use electronic voting. PRECINCT numbers show a bald discrepancy wherever electronic voting was used.
Without getting into details – I’m sure a statistician or other non-rocket scientist would find interesting an E-voting machine employment per capita comparison between the very same states Levin compared in his article.

Here’s another nice try at obfuscation;

“The big problem with this theory is that this year's results match those from 2000. (And with the exception of Dixie, which used punch cards in 2000, all of these counties used optical-scan machines four years ago.) In 2000, Baker County had 83 percent registered Democrats, and 69 percent of the county's voters went for Bush. Dixie County had 86 percent registered Democrats, and 58 percent went for Bush. Franklin County: 81 percent registered Dems, 53 percent for Bush. Holmes County: 83 percent registered Dems, 68 percent for Bush.”

Ok, ok… did anyone else get that? Levin says that the theory of election tampering should be thrown out based on the fact that… allow me to paraphrase, “Conditions were exactly the same then as they are now, except for the one county who still used punch cards back then and their results didn’t SKEW LIKE THE REST from the Exit polling data.”
Am I insane, or did he just make the case for getting rid of these things?

Can you believe people ACTUALLY fall for this?

Americans are SO mentally lazy!

Another way of saying to tell the truth, but they may have to eventually.

7. Exactly. If the repugs covered their trail well, and the
networks went after it fully, Imagine the reprucutions once * was sworn in. Not that I am trying to excuse MSM for utterly failing. But it makes sense.

5. How About the Repub "NO One's Holding Them Accountable"
Edited on Sun Nov-14-04 04:20 PM by fasttense
Line? I heard it from a Repub on a rerun of MS NBC (I think it was Hardball, not sure though, I was yelling at the television).

The argument goes like this: Bloggers are a menace to society because no one is holding them accountable for what they say. It's like Repubs can't get their dirty money or political weight to stop us so all they can do is scream "no accountability".

But the facts are who is holding you accountable about what you say to your spouse, your friend or significant other? Just the person you are talking to. Who is holding you accountable when you talk across the fence with a neighbor? Just the person you are talking to. Who is holding you accountable here? Just us you are talking to.

It's as if the Repubs want us all to stop talking to each other unless they tell us. I was on a political Left AOL chat site and all there was were Repubs screaming and telling anyone with a true left opinion to go to Hell. I finally asked if having the Pres, the Congress, the courts wasn't enough? Why did they want to control a chat site for the left. Their response: "WE want to control it ALL."
That's scary.

That is why they find the INTERNET and sites like DU so offensive they can't control it.

8. And for that reason only...
They despise DU.

I'm ashamed of Republicans lately.

I keep telling myself, I keep praying I'm wrong that these things I see do not mean what they mean.

If you have 30 minutes or so:

Now THAT's creepy.

11. Good job - It's up to them to prove the elections are legitmate
Why is it up to us to prove fraud? The counts aren't verified so why do we have to believe they're legitimate?

If they refuse to verify the vote count they can't complain when we don't consider them legitimate winners.

Faith-based election returns? I don't think so.

We want publicly witnessed hand counts.

What are they afraid of?

Everybody, please contribute to the recount efforts!
