***Election Integrity Leader Running for Supervisor of Elections in Broward County Florida***

From Ellen Brodsky:

Florida's citizens deserve a government they can trust to honorably run an election.
Florida's citizens deserve non-partisan Election Supervisors who are unbiased and will
make sure your vote counts as intended no matter what your party affiliation.
That's what I want for Florida. That's what I want for Broward County.
But to bring Broward's citizens what they deserve I need your help.

My name is Ellen Harriet Brodsky, Non-Partisan Candidate for Broward Supervisor of Elections.
I've been a hands-on election reform activist since 2001, fighting against the incompetence and corruption
that have polluted our election system. I know better than anyone what's wrong with the system,
and how to set it right. But to get on the ballot I need your contributions.

Please visit my website, Run Ellen Run
to read more about my beliefs and to donate to my campaign.

So that Broward can "Get it Right on Election Night"

Run Ellen Run!

Local activist announces her candidacy for Supervisor of Elections, Broward County
by IMC Miami staff Sunday, May. 25, 2008 at 9:07 PM

It's Official! Ellen Brodsky, a local election reform activist is running for Election Supervisor
in Broward County. While other candidates are slugging it out, she will be building a
strong Non-Partisan "grassroots" campaign.

Her Campaign has just begun! Ellen needs volunteers with a variety of skills to help her Campaign grow.
Most importantly, she needs Donations to Qualify by June 16 for the June 20, 2008 cut-off date.
All contributions both great or small are truly appreciated.

MORE ABOUT ELLEN

Ellen believes that citizen ownership of our elections is essential for a transparent, participatory democracy. For years she has fought for an Citizen Advisory Board on Elections & Oversight Committee to aid in administering the election process.

As your Supervisor of Elections, Ellen will continue her history of pro-active leadership. She will support manual audits of your elections before certification and will pursue innovative voting methods that ensure a consensus on election accuracy, pilot programs for Hand Counted Paper Ballots, Instant Runoff Voting, and Open Source Voting alternatives. Ellen will refuse to certify any election that cannot be proven to be accurate.

After years of participation in workshops and seminars across the country and lobbying Congress for Paper Ballot Legislation, Ellen is nationally renown as an election reform leader representing both Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Ellen has been the Moderator of the Broward Election Reform Coalition Newsgroup since April, 2005 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/electionreform/ which will continue to be dedicated to Election Reform Issues & Actions as we make the transition to Optical Scanners and approach the Fall Elections.

Q. Who's Looking out for the Voters?

A. Ellen H. Brodsky is and has been a longtime Election Reform Activist fighting to restore Integrity to Broward's Broken Election System.

Q. Why are you Running for Supervisor of Elections?

A. Ellen is sick and tired of Broward County's Lack of Accountability, Incompetence combined with Unverifiable and Inconclusive election results. Ellen believes the best approach to election administration is as a Non-Partisan Public Servant representing all voters with dedication and professionalism. Ellen believes Broward County deserves Pro-Active Leadership insuring accurate elections, citizen participation and citizen ownership.

Ellen believes..."You must be the change you want to see in the world.".. - Mahatma Gandhi

If you believe that......

Broward Deserves a Non-Partisan Supervisor of Elections, someone who represents voters of all parties without bias.

Broward Deserves a Pro-Active Leader who will ensure a transparent participatory democracy through citizen ownership of our elections. (Creekside Declaration)

Broward Deserves Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Competency, Fair and Accurate Elections where Your Votes are Counted as Intended.

No Election should be Certified that Cannot be Proven to be Accurate!

Then Elect Ellen H. Brodsky, NPA, for Supervisor of Elections, Broward County.

Please make a Contribution Today at http://runellenrun.com to Help Ellen Qualify by June 16 to get on the Ballot this November. All Donations small or large are needed.

3. Why isn't she running as a Democrat?
A friend of mine ran for SOE as NPA in Pasco County in 2004. He didn't come close (against Kurt Browning). He couldn't get these morons in the party to support him, even though there was no Democrat in the race.

It might be quixotic, but there's something to be said for running on principle -- and it has worked for Ion Sancho.

(ETA: I'm not familiar with her platform beyond the OP.)
