Assuming they recount -- how do they do it?
That is, do they just run the machines again, or do they do a hand count??

they hand count the paper ballots that were machine read. I don't know how they do the e voting since the only records are...well...bs.

4. Paper ballots are still counted by machines. |
|
I presume they would want to do a hand count of ballots, but I really don't know. Doesn't make much sense to do a machine recount, does it? Considering the machines are suspect.

7. Ohio mainly uses punch cards |
|
Most counties in Ohio use punch cards. You know, the familiar hanging chads from Florida. I think the electronic machines just spit out a tally with the same numbers originally submitted, so it's not a real recount. That's why we need a paper trail.

8. Ho w do you think punch cards are counted? |
|
By the machines. Everything is counted by the machines. Paper ballots are still counted by the machines. The question is, during the recount, will these paper ballots be counted by hand or by the machines?

Punch cards always yield more votes the second time through a machine counter. Hanging chads get dislodged.
