Bear in mind that these people feel that they speak for Jesus. Then consider that Protestant fundamentalists believe that they can do anything to anyone and be forgiven by Christ, because they are "saved". Then consider that their ultimate goal is the precipitation of the rapture-and the motive is easily established for fraud:

Comment entitled "Another quote for your diary", but read the entirety of the comments.

Something else:

This article will scare you to death. These people truly believe that the end justifies the means-though Christ taught us otherwise.

1. "Born Agains" and "Fundies" are at the same level as Hitler's Nazis!

2. Anybody who has ever been preached at by a fundy
already knows this. It's Paul's loophole, originally reserved for kings and emperors but now adopted by the banal, that faith alone (or even the public acknowledgement of faith, lip service) is sufficient for salvation, and that good works are completely irrelevant.

Don't kid yourself. These people have always been the enemy of good people, and will always be our enemies. This is war, and we have to win it.

8. Completely the opposite
of everything that Christ said, but then I suppose that the teachings of Paul take precendence over the teachings of Jesus for "true" Christians.

Paul was originally out to destroy the nascent Christian church. Maybe he succeeded too well.

3. Neochristians, from the so-called party of personal responsibility
seem to have no problem in letting Christ take responsibility for their sins.

These people are not Christians because their actions are based on the Old Testament.

4. Quote from Kos diary
Check this out - No less than 5 of Diebold's developers are convicted felons, including Senior Vice President Jeff Dean, and topping the list are his twenty-three counts of felony Theft in the First Degree. According to the findings of fact in case no. 89-1-04034-1:

"Defendant's thefts occurred over a 2 1/2 year period of time, there were multiple incidents, more than the standard range can account for, the actual monetary loss was substantially greater than typical for the offense,

******the crimes and their cover-up involved a high degree of sophistication and planning in the use and alteration of records in the computerized accounting system that defendant maintained for the victim, and the defendant used his position of trust and fiduciary responsibility as a computer systems and accounting consultant for the victim to facilitate the commission of the offenses."*******

To sum up, he was convicted of 23 FELONY COUNTS of theft from by - get this - planting back doors in his software and using a "high degree of sophistication" to evade detection. Do you trust computer systems designed by this man? Is trust important in electronic voting systems?

7. They conveniently ignore the book of James
as JK quoted several times in his stump speech and the debates.

Jas 2:26 states, "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead"

Their brand of christianity exposes itself. There just needs to be enough people who see through their manipulative, self-serving, arrogant blasphemy. Sorry there's no better word for it.

Once again it proves how many are looking for the easy answer, seeking comfort and reassurance from politicians to tell them what they want to hear. Honesty and truth are rarely that easy. Bluster and scare tactics require much less thought.

I wonder if any of them will feel like Nero as Rome burned...
