does anyone remember the first pre-election terrorist tape?

the one that was not osama? It didnt get much press, but i saw it and I felt it was a fake. The guy sounded just stupid. But he said things that i don't think ladens group would say. Like he said that the Us had destroyed the Taliban. I just don't think they would ever admit that we had destroyed their operations to that extent. He also mentioned a lot about the 9/11 report and named like 7 or eight names of people that i just dont think would be on the top of the list.
Now the gov say they think they know who it is and has identified him as someone with a similar story as the "American taliban" And I do think that it is most likely the guy they say.
What i can't shake from my head though is that this first tape was a plant that may have actually been made from this new american taliban but i think maybe the govt got it and had their contacts call abc to give them the tape to scare the people at the time of the election which would supposedly make people afraid and vote for bush.
Never before have we had a tape (that i know of) that has not gone to aljazeera before it shows up in the US. The Govt already had a copy of it, i think it said somewhere.
Well, I guess its all moot now, but I think that this was the Oct suprise planned by the white house and that one with bin laden coming out less than a week later probably really freaked em out a bit eh?
Just wanted to know if anyone else had thought this about this particular "terrorist tape"

thought it was a deliberate plant to scare americans into voting for bush, it looked like a bad actor pretending to be a terrorist. yes, and it was suspicious that we saw and heard more of this tape than any other previous "terroritst" tapes. I'd like to know more about the provenance of the tape- where did it come from? who shot it? where was it shot? (Cheney's bunker?)

I keep going over it in my mind too!! I knew they would roll out the BL scare right before the election. I am an artist, have been drawing faces for decades. The man in the video had totally different skin color, different nose, the eyes were too close together and not the right size. The beard and turban looked like costume and the background, very odd. Also, his kinesthetics were totally different. Unless he looks very different from all of his past video, sure looked pretty staged.
