ference is that he couldn't very well make it public (you know why)... hell, I don't know, maybe Soros IS doing something - ISTM that this stuff needs to be lowballed for obvious reasons, although I have to admit the frequent stories about -someone- needing $$$ to proceed does make it appear that the purse strings are in a Gordian knot. :eyes: Wish I'd never mentioned it. :grr:

He is clearly a Kerry supporter and would do anything to get * out of the WH. Therefore, if he springs for the recount, and Kerry wins in OH, the RW nutbags will accuse G. Soros of lying/cheating/bribery/etc... and the recount will not be valid. That's my opinion, anyway...

9. Because Dennis Hastert would say the recount was funded with drug money |
|
Remember THAT idiotic statement, where the Speaker of the House actually insinuated that Soros was wealthy from drug money?
Let's leave Soros out of it, this should be an effort by as many American people as possible. Maybe he's sitting back and watching from the sidelines, wondering whether it's more important for us to get a brand-new CD or to contribute to recount funds.
And, yes, I know that a lot of DU'ers cannot afford anything right now, but any of us who can cough up just a few bucks, please do. It can't go on forever, and if we don't pay now, bush will make us pay ten times as much later, one way or the other.
I'm going broke for so many reasons because of george bush.

11. I have a very strong feeling |
|
that this is happening just as it should. A grassroots effort funded by the PEOPLE is difficult to spin--except, so far, by calling us "conspiracy theorists," and that is laughable. As this effort gains ground, it will become apparent that this is not so. Were Soros, or Michael Moore, or Kerry, or the DNC, et al, to be publicly involved would immediately create a media circus, and that would hamper the REAL effort. It's better this way, IMO.

13. One, clear, factual, detailed full page ad in a few major newspapers.. |
|
Would do us an enormous amount of good. Soros did this before. I cannot imagine that he is not watching and reading and considering what his options are here. He'd be a great person to champion this, but so would other celebrities who were so dedicated to the Kerry campaign. Maybe we can appeal to them somehow?

14. Hmm ... Newspaper ads ... Good idea... |
|
Needs to be 100% accurate though. Absolutly nothing that can be refuted in any way. If even one item can be refuted, they'll use that as the basis to condemn all the other facts ...

Somehow, somewhere, I found in email for him and emailed him and said basically the same thing.
Then I went back to try to find his email address again to send yet another one and it was GONE.
I'll check to see if it's in my "sent folder" but it will take a couple of minutes
