I posted this this morning:
"Not sure if this means anything, but I came across the name INLUMINENT while searching on cybernet...I dont know what inluminent is all about exactly, but when I searched CYBERNET AND inluminent OR Diebold and inluminent, all I can say is that it led to hacking sites and blogs, evangelical stuff, porn, online gam(bl)ing, AND online sales of prescription drugs."

NOW, when I search Cybernet and Inluminent, NOTHING COMES UP. Only 30+ come up on a diebold inluminent search.

This morning there were hundreds.

Hastings school district (MI) sued this CyberNET over those computers. Ignite software installed at Hastings school district. Not sure how many other Michigan districts have the software - Hastings comes up in Google, so I don't think use is widespread in that state.

US firm buys majority stake in AyalaPort, renames data center
By melvin g. calimag

A Michigan-based outsourcing firm has taken over the management and majority ownership of data center AyalaPort Makati and has renamed it CNG Global Data Hub.

The CyberNet Group (CNG), an ICT and business process outsourcing services provider, announced early this week during a press conference that it has acquired a 60 percent controlling interest in the data center from Ayala Corp.

The Ayala Group was left with 30-percent minority share while the remaining 10 percent is owned by independent shareholder Internet Initiative Japan, according to Reynaldo Huergas, the new managing director of CNG Global Data Hub. Huergas, a former executive of Ayala-owned mobile phone operator Globe Telecom, replaced Mark Anthony Javier.

50. Stryon/CyberNET and Blue Cross Blue Shield
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Visit www.bcbs.com

Blue Cross Blue Shield are consumer health advocates that service families that are seeking quality health insurance. They are one of the largest healthcare insurance provider organizations in the world. They had experienced large write-offs taken in the prior fiscal year for inventory. They had also encountered an inability to find leased items at end-of-lease. The goal was to develop a business process that was easy to use, quick to update and accessible to those who needed it throughout the organization.

Stryon is in the process of providing a complete asset management solution for BCBS including business process reengineering, software selection, enterprise application integration using middleware, baseline inventory and training for both users and administrators. This process which will be fully designed and implemented by CyberNET/Stryon will assist Blue Cross Blue Shield to appropriately account for their valuable inventory and to be able to find it when it's needed.

12. New e-business partnership Cybernets wins battle for B & N Software
http://www.aspstreet.com/pr/a.taf/idpr,11576

Munich, 5 September, 2000 – Against strong competition, the Cybernet Group has succeeded in its bid, to win a 25 percent stake in the leading German e-business software-house B & N Software in Göttingen. According to Bernd Buchholz, Executive Vice President, Cybernet exercised its existing option at an early stage. The cash paid will be used to increase the capitalization of the company. The proceeds will be used for the planned international expansion of the company and to further develop existing programmes. Further more, the company will be prepared for an IPO in 2001.

The number of employees for B & N is forecast to nearly double to 68 by the end of 2001. The purchase price was calculated using a multiple of 1.7 times the revenues of the company in 2001, which is forecast to be 7 million Euros. This demonstrates that the revenues are continuing to double each year.

B & N was founded in 1988 by students from the Göttinger Georg-August-University. With former employees from the software engineering and technology departments of the Max-Planck-Institute, the company has grown into one of the most innovative system providers for internet platforms and for the development of automated business processes. The software-house with its 38 employees has specialized in the development, implementation and maintainance of data exchange programs and transaction platforms using EDI, EDIFACT and XML standards. Around 600 installations have been realized including; Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Krombacher, Lufthansa City Line, Panasonic, Honeywell and Gerry Weber. The pharmaceutical industry is a key focus, where the majority of well-known brands are customers.

The new partnership increases Cybernet‘s competance in the entire value chain of internet services for business customers. Cybernet was selected because of its ability to maximize the international potential of B & N.

With approximately 14000 business customers, the Cybernet group is a leading provider of internet Data Center services in Europe and operates with modern infrastructure for exchange of data services. Cybernet supports companies with the implementation of their own network solutions and offers solutions for efficient internet utilization.

CNG Global managing director Reynaldo R. Huergas said the buy-in will position the Philippines as the company's headquarters in Southeast Asia, where it plans to roll out in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. Mr. Huergas believes the acquisition will push CNG Global close to its target 150% incremental increase in revenues next year, up from its expected US$1 million earnings by yearend 2004.

Stryon Merger Creates Global Leader in Legacy Application Migration
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 18, 2002 -

Stryon Inc. (http://www.stryon.com ) a former division of CyberCo Holdings, has merged with Halcyon Software, Inc. forming a new company dedicated to the demands for high quality software development with a special focus on the migration of business applications written in legacy languages. Both companies have combined their global expertise to help businesses that wish to match the performance, functionality and value of their existing applications and systems to the fastest and most proficient technologies.

"Many companies have a tremendous investment in mission critical applications developed in COBOL, RPG, Visual Basic®, C/C++ and other languages that represent impediments to the portability and deployability of those applications," says Don Hsi, Chief Technology Officer of Stryon. "Our mission is to develop the best solutions to minimize the costs and risks associated with major changes when migrating those applications to; for example, Java™ technology J2EE™ platform environments or the Microsoft® .NET environments."

The merger, which retained the name Stryon, has spent over 13-years managing international development activities and operating multiple software development centers in North America and Asia including China and Pakistan.

Utilizing an impressive array of proprietary tools developed by Halcyon, such as the revolutionary iASP and iNET products, Stryon is now able to provide accelerated deployment and conversion services based on proven quality control methodologies -- at significant cost benefits. According to Paul Blossom, Chief Operating Officer of Stryon, "Our distinction in the marketplace is to provide local, face-to-face systems analysis, project management and systems architecture services to our clients while sending the actual application coding offshore. This structure allows us to provide a high-touch client experience at an extraordinarily attractive cost."

The new company Stryon is closely affiliated with The CyberNET Group, a global systems integration firm headquartered in the United States specializing in thin client architecture, application deployment and data center outsourcing. The CyberNET Group has operations throughout North America, Europe, South Africa, Asia and Australia. "The merger with Halcyon brings tremendous capabilities to Stryon," said Barton Watson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The CyberNET Group. "Stryon can now provide a scope of application services never before available to middle market companies and enterprise accounts."

Stryon saves money for companies wanting to get the most out of their existing software applications by effectively cutting the costs associated with staff re-training, support, operations interruptions and errors which can be encountered when upgrading and integrating both customized and packaged software over various operating environments.

38. U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation
http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/strategy/wn052301.asp

U.S. Department of Justice
Federal Bureau of Investigation

The FBI and Department of Justice are joined by the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) today to announce that criminal charges have been brought against approximately 90 individuals and companies as part of a nationwide series of investigations into Internet fraud, code named "Operation Cyber Loss," initiated by the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC). Subjects are facing a variety of Federal and state criminal charges which include fraud by wire, mail fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, and intellectual property right violations. The fraud schemes exposed as part of this Operation represent over 56,000 victims who suffered cumulative losses in excess of $117 million.

Among the fraud schemes targeted are those involving on-line auction fraud, systemic non-delivery of merchandise purchased over the Internet, credit/debit card fraud, bank fraud, investment fraud, multi-level marketing and Ponzi/Pyramid schemes. Internet fraud can be defined as any fraudulent scheme in which one or more components of the Internet, such as Web sites, chat rooms, and e-mail, play a significant role in offering nonexistent goods or services to consumers, communicating false or fraudulent representations about the schemes to consumers, or transmitting victims' funds, access devices, or other items of value to the control of the scheme's perpetrators. Many of these cases were initiated as a result of fraud complaints the IFCC received from individuals and businesses.

"Just as neighborhood watch programs keep watch over their neighborhoods and report suspicious activity to law enforcement, Internet users now have a 'cyber community watch' program. When individual citizens, businesses, and consumer agencies work with law enforcement at all levels, we help ensure the safety and security of the Internet," said Attorney General Ashcroft.

Director Louis J. Freeh stated, "The criminal charges being announced today demonstrate the critically important role that the IFCC plays in combating crime in cyber space. It is essential that law enforcement, e-commerce, and victims of crime have this electronic clearinghouse to expeditiously disseminate Internet fraud cases to the appropriate agency for investigation.

The IFCC became operational on May 8, 2000. The IFCC’s mission is to address fraud committed over the Internet. For victims of Internet fraud, the IFCC provides a convenient and easy way to alert authorities of a suspected criminal or civil violation. Victims of Internet crime are able to go directly to the IFCC web-site at www.ifccfbi.gov, to submit their complaint information, relieving considerable frustration for them in trying to determine which law enforcement agency should receive their complaint. For law enforcement and regulatory agencies, the IFCC offers a central repository for complaints related to Internet fraud. All complaints are sent through an internal quality assurance process and are referred to the appropriate law enforcement and regulatory agencies. The IFCC uses the information to quantify fraud patterns, and provide timely statistical data of current fraud trends. The IFCC, located in Fairmont, WV, is a joint operation between the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). It is the first project of its kind, a partnership between a federal law enforcement agency, and a non-profit private organization, serving Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies .

The accomplishments of this Operation are a direct result of the close working relationship law enforcement has developed with the private sector and e-commerce companies. As an example, Pay Pal, Inc. and Motley Fool have provided great assistance in identifying individuals engaged in wrong doing and reported that to the IFCC. The support and cooperation provided the FBI by other private sector companies such as Microsoft has also been instrumental in the success of Operation Cyber Loss.

FROM: Mark J. TaylorDATE: 03/10/1999 16:47:53SUBJECT: ccd driver problems with > 2GB segments, +fix

I`ve found, and corrected, a serious problem with the ccd driver
with regards to large segments. The bugs were discovered while
developing our NetMAX system, under FreeBSD 2.2.x.
The problems still exist in 3.x, and are easily repeatable.

Creating a ccd with a segment that is greater than 2048 MB bytes
in size will cause a kernel panic.

Fix:
The ccd driver has a variable "bcount" that is a long: it needs
to be a u_long. And, a 64 bit int is shifted into a 32 bit int
in ccdbuffer(): the 32 bit int must changed to be a 64 bit int.

This second change has already been made in NetBSD (somebody else
figured it out), where the ccd driver originated from. It was
rather tricky to find: the math involving block numbers and ccd
segment size had to work our just right, which generally meant
that I had to create thousands (or tens of thousands) of files
before the kernel would hang. But once I found that block, it
was infinitely repeatable.

Please, don`t ignore this one. I`ve sent patches before, and made
PRs, and they`ve just ended up in a black hole.
I`ve got more patches to FreeBSD, but I feel reluctant to submit
them, because nobody cares to either review them or commit them.

Here`s the patch to 3.1`s /sys/dev/ccd/ccd.c, followed by a sequence
of commands to generate a panic using the original ccd code:

How To Repeat (using a vnode instead of a disk slice):

1) create a vnode that we can use as a ccd:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/tmp/XXX bs=1m count=2049
2) configure the vnode and label it:
vnconfig -c -s labels /dev/vn0 /var/tmp/XXX
disklabel -w -B vn0 auto
3) edit the disklabel to set "c" to type "4.2BSD"
disklabel -e vn0
4) config this vnode as a ccd:
ccdconfig -c ccd0 0 0 /dev/vn0c
PANIC...

With the patches above, the ccdconfig will not cause a panic, and
the ccd should work as expected.

If someone wants to do more searching, use Babelfish. But I have a friend in Kyrgystan, and he searched Google for only articles in Russian and he only saw a bunch of ATM articles.

83. The FBI raided them as part of an investigation into wire and bank fraud
The ATM connection might have something to do with it. There's another article from a journal (linked to in this thread, I believe) that says they are being investigated as running a fraudulent company, a shell that exists merely to funnel money. To Russia, maybe? China? They have major equity funds like ChinaVest investing in them.

article titled "Code reuse gets easier" at http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php/id;140930134;relcomp;1

'Diebold in North Canton, Ohio, is getting better results from its reuse program than the aerospace company did. Richard King, a senior software applications support engineer, says Diebold has seen a whopping fivefold improvement on the speed of development of new applications by using its "toolbox of reusable assets."'

down at the bottom of this article, among a list of companies is:

Code migration tools:

iNET and iASP, to migrate applications developed in Microsoft-based environments to execute in Java-enabled environments

- Stryon.

diebolds voting machines are on a microsoft windows platform, so seems like stryon might have helped them out with their code??

is this the sort of thing we're looking for?

47. My previous posts
I was posting in the earlier thread at
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x61397
You have most of the same info here. I got my posts from Hoovers.
They are into Casino systems in Las Vegas, and I was trying to remember the voting problem in Las Vegas. But that might be a long shot.
Also the news about them acquiring the company in Phillipines was about a week after the election. I think it would take a considerable amount of money.
The news I posted quoted a manager from "CNG Global". There is a link to CNG Global Services but I am not sure if it is the same company. The link is in my earlier post. After a search on CNG Global, I became aware that there are MANY links to companies all over the world with CNG in their name.....communications, services, and even energy.
What are the companies similar to Hoover's to do research on companies? It would be better to have a subscription. Check out "CNG Global".

Going to the website for Hart InterCivic, I look at the list of officers and directors. This is a Texas company spawned from a commercial printing background. Big, successful commercial printers typically do a lot of business at election times. After branching out into government services and now into DREs, Hart InterCivic was spun off into a venture capital situation. That is, sophisticated Texas-based money people smell more than just smoke, they smell big money.

I go through the list of directors and find all outside directors are venture capital people, money bags for Hart InterCivic. I look a bit further and I note that these directors and Hart officers smell like a campaign committee for George Walker Bush.

57. Stryon former division of CyberCo Holdings

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Stryon Merger Creates Global Leader in Legacy Application Migration
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 18, 2002 - Stryon Inc. (http://www.stryon.com) a former division of CyberCo Holdings, has merged with Halcyon Software, Inc. forming a new company dedicated to the demands for high quality software development with a special focus on the migration of business applications written in legacy languages.

60. OK guys, maybe the tinfoil hat's on a little tight, but does anyone else
get the feeling that maybe this big enterprise is possibly fueled by money from (drumroll please)...porn? Isn't a huge portion of internet commerce actually porn? And they make their money selling security for online commerce.

Crazy? I don't know. Crazy like funding an illegal Central American war with cocaine money? Crazy like letting a country you just bombed back to the stone age re-establish itself with billions from the heroin trade?

Not that I have anything against porn, you understand. Just the titanic irony of the fact! See this excerpt from an earlier post (#9):

"Key Vertical Industries Served
(up to five)
Accounting/Banking/Financial Services
Defense Contractor/Military
Entertainment/Media/Publishing
Healthcare/Medical/Dental/Pharmacy
Manufacturing

Industry Most Served
Entertainment/Media/Publishing"

I'm not sure if I've added anything to the conversation here, but I will say this: when it comes to the moral values conversation, everyone has a clear (public) position on PORN.

70. There are many different Cybernets, I don't see a proven tie-in ...
...to the election.

Is there any connection between Cybernet Group (the company raided) and Cybernet Ventures or Cybernet Software Systems? The fact that
their names start with Cybernet doesn't necessarily mean there is
a tie-in.

Here are some companies whose names begin with Cybernet:

In response to message #35

"So what is voting machine doing with Linux?" I then thought, so I started checking out and sniffing around alot more...

I decided to check out and do a whois search on Guitterez...

What did I find? Surprise surprise, family is on the ranking district committee and every single voting election network there is...

The executive board have familiar names...

And what do we have here?
http://www.disinfopedia.org/wiki.phtml?title=Election_C...

More of those familiar names, on the board of NASED, and Sequoia etc being accused of being a front group....Maybe thats all they are...

Oh yeah, why are they listed on the allocation of voting RIGHTS?
http://www.nic.uk/Members/VotingRights/AllocationOfVoti...

CyberNET Systems (Ventures Inc.) is about the furthest thing from voting rights there is, and after all, the guitterez family....Just look it up, its the writing on the wall

84. Lawsuit filed against The CyberNET Group in Grand Rapids

http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2591580&nav=0RcdTLbg

(Grand Rapids, November 19, 2004, 6:01 p.m.) A lawsuit has now been filed against a Grand Rapids Internet company after federal agents raided the building.

On Wednesday, federal investigators shut down The CyberNET Group on South Division Avenue and locked employees out. Sources tell 24 Hour News 8 that investigators were looking for evidence of wire, mail, and bank fraud. They hauled away computers and financial records linked to the company.

Employees returned to work Friday for the time since the raid. They entered through a backdoor of the world headquarters facility on South Division Avenue.

Now 24 Hour News 8 has obtained copies of a lawsuit filed Thursday against CyberCo, the parent company of The CyberNet Group. Fraud is one of the allegations outlined in the lawsuit.

In the lawsuit, Charter One Vendor Finance of Illinois says it loaned The CyberNET Group $3 million so the company could buy 66 computer servers. But in the lawsuit, Charter One said it could only find evidence of 25 servers at the company's Grand Rapids' headquarters, and The CyberNET Group could not provide an explanation. Charter One believes The CyberNET Group misused the loaned money and used false information to secure the loan.

Charter One says in the lawsuit that The CyberNET Group CEO Barton Watson has a longstanding and uninterrupted history of perpetrating fraud.

Barton Watson was not around during the raid, not in his office, or not at his million dollar home in Ada. He served time in prison in 1994 after a federal judge sentenced him to one to three years for fraud.

According to court documents obtained by 24 Hour News 8, at the time of that sentencing Watson told the judge, “I suffer from a great deal of concern about how I got from A to Z. I have a lot of regret about what happened, not just because I stole a great deal of money from a number of people, but particularly in that I abused their trust and their friendship.”

Later, he said, “I'm still only 26, moving on to 27-years-old, and I'd like a chance to live life, and forever I will have this felony hanging over my head.”

After prison, Watson went on and found The CyberNET Group, an international Internet company. Since the federal raid and subsequent news reports, 24 Hour News 8 has been flooded with e-mails and calls from former employees, alleging years of misconduct.

Although back on the job, employees admit being worried if The CyberNET Group will remain open and operating. Employees were expected to get a more detailed description and explanation Friday about why federal investigators came to their place of business.

CyberNet Group Offices Raided
November 19, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) --

According to one report, a lawsuit against The CyberNet Group was filed in Kent County Court on Thursday, charging the company with fraud and breach of contract. The suit alleges that The CyberNet Group’s founder and chairman Barton Watson and chief operating officer James Horton are operating a fake company, based in Delaware, to funnel money.

Good to know CyberCo is parent company from article you posted.
