This is the LAST Consitutional mechanism available to save this democracy.
Electors from FL and OHIO and any other state where a reasonable possilibity exists that Bush cheated are called upon to ABSTAIN - or cast their vote for Kerry, if the evidence indicates that Kerry WON.
This is what the Electoral College is FOR!

Does anybody know who is going to be appointed as electors if the "George W." is still thought to have won OH & FL?

5. we would need to flip 18 votes to win if kerry looses ohio |
|
this is well since electors are usually staunch party members...flipping even one elector would be a task

6. You can be sure if the shoe were on the other foot... |
|
...Rove would have a list of names and addresses of electors and would be sending planeloads and busloads of rent-a-mobs in front of their houses to "protest".

4. They are legally required to cast their vote for the winner. |
|
Both Ohio and Florida have laws....if they don't cast their vote for the winner of the popular vote, they can be replaced...and get fined.
Although this law has never been challenged constitutionally....and some law experts suggest the laws wouldn't hold up under a challenge.
Of course, most state parties pick only the most loyal members to the electoral college...so it makes it doubtful that a state, en masse, would defect.

8. The country is about to slip into chaos |
|
...when the effects of an unelected pResident trashing the Dollar, the CIA, the Army and the Constitution all start to hit the fan.
A little chaos at the Electoral College would be minor in comparison.
We need to march on the Electoral Congress OURSELVES (whenever and wherever this beast actually takes place) and demand that it REFLECT THE POPULAR VOTE.
"Faithless electors" would be the ones for OH andFL who persist in voting for Bush - despite the lack of anything like proof that he won there.

9. Wishful Thinking, But Heres a Reality Smack For Ya |

I am so on the postive side of rooting for this fraud to be exposed and the results of the election overturned, but IT IS NO WAY going to happen by getting republican electors to flip their loyalty.
Look at it objectively with this analogy. To accomplish what you want to accomplish, you would have to get like 20 Sean Hannity's to cast their vote for Kerry instead.
Yeah, Good luck with that one LOL
