"The project reviewed dozens of instances where machines misrecorded a vote for Kerry as a vote for Bush and vice versa."
We've had about a zillion anecdotes posted here and I don't recall a single vice versa. Good the issue is getting more press, though.

It's an example of the media showing no bias I guess.
But then why would anyone post a 'vice versa' here on DU??

8. good to get press, but BIG flaws in the article. |
|
Note this passage: <<The members of the verification project said they hadn't seen evidence that the problems would change the election results >>
Thinking... thinking... OH! I know the problem. The hadn't seen evidence. In paperless voting, there is no evidence.
Then they site the national numbers to suggest that it wasn't close, so it wasn't critical to get it right this year. But a realistic bunch of switched votes in one state (say, Ohio) would have changed the election outcome (still may!). Man, so many in the MSM are so... well, not the deepest thinkers.

9. I think they're staying in the shallow end of the pool on purpose. |

Keeping the election in the past tense.
Here's hoping they learn to dogpaddle. Soon.
