4. Boycott the News
Thank you for posting this. I have passed it on... Also, is anyone involved in organizing travel for participating in Jan. 20th anti-inaugural protests in DC? I believe that many, many people from across this nation would participate if a "drumbeat" for participation and organization were started. Oh, by the way, this is my first participation on this site...
From the Great Northwest...

5. I only watch Canadien News
Gave up on the US media with the invasion of Baghdad. They were so sickeningly proud of how we were blasting the hell out of Baghdad in the name of democracy. They were proud of killing innocent people. :argh:

10. Already have been
except for Olbermann and Brown (Aaron always lists the soldiers that died that day).

I get most of my news online.

I will watch Jon Stewart, when I remember... erm... like now.

12. The nightly dose of RNC talking points and lying by omission
has been absent my home since November 3. I don't anticipate turning it back on in the foreseeable future. I'll get my news mainly from the foreign press online. The US mass media have been compromised beyond repair. They can preach to the choir. They can disappear. They are simply irrelevant.

17. Am already boycotting except for Keith
I think this is a really good idea. We as consumers have to demand a free press because it has become another corporate institution and it's time we faced that reality.

What about boycotting the advertisers, won't that be a bigger impact?

18. Have not watched MSM for quite awhile, however
Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 01:27 PM by naturalselection
wouldn't a better way of boycotting MSM would be to contact the companies that advertise on MSM and advise them that you will be boycotting their products until real investigative journalism is demonstrated?

Just brainstorming.

Oops, Cadence just posted that ahead of me.

19. PBS newhour
The Newshour, since the beginning of the war, has been showing pictures of the dead soldiers as they are announced. They do it very well, in silence.

Like others, my news sources have narrowed to:
blogs, Keith, PBS Newshour, Jon Stewart. That seems to serve me very well, and I get a lot less upset!
