Rove has been planning this.......
Edited on Sat Nov-20-04 12:30 PM by springhill
the stolen election that is, ever since the last election. He is not a last minute kind of guy. I am sure he had contingency plans covering any possibilities on election night. So for those who think it would be too complicated for him to pull off, think again. He is not one to leave things to chance.

1. I'm sorry, was there a majority here or something that
was claiming it was last minute and couldn't be pulled off? I hadn't seen that majority opinion. In fact, I'm sure most people are in agreement that this has been in motion since even before 2000.

That said it would be too complicated, that's all. No big deal.

5. Maybe I'm Cranky This Morning,
But I still can't help thinking that maybe you should've just simply posted this in THAT thread then, rather than creating a new one.

2. This is one piece of
very weak circumstantial evidence.

3. It wasn't meant to be evidence.......
Edited on Sat Nov-20-04 12:29 PM by springhill
It was meant to be a statement about Rove and what his mindthought might be. He is a planner, and if the stole the election would have long ago thought about how to do it.

7. I must say. . .
having been obsessed about the insecurity of BBV's for well over 19 months, I was utterly awestruck by how diabolically sophisticated, thorough, and systematic the fraud was implemented.

No one can call this a conspiracy theory. It's far too blatant.

The two things I didn't count on was the widespread disenfranchisement of voters in Dem strongholds and the further and perhaps terminal, discreditation of exit polls.

No, as many have said, their practice run was in '00. They refined their technique in '02. They secured their control of the media, and then in the 11th hour they pulled out all the stops with the partisan secretaries of state, election officials, and the voting hardware and software.

If only. . .they implemented the reconstruction of Iraq with such efficiency.

8. What I don't understand,
is why our side wasn't preemptive on this. I mean, we all pretty much knew that they would try to steal it if they knew they couldn't win legitimately, why didn't the Democratic party establisment know it.

I'm not saying that we could have stopped it completely, but I definitely think that we could have put a dent in it. I don't understand why the party didn't make a big issue about auditable systems that leave paper trail. I don't understand why know one spoke out on the need to make sure there was a fair distribution of voting machines between predominantly Republican and predominantly Democratic precincts.

I put alot of blame for this on our party and their having ignored the problem. If they continue to ignore it, they will become nothing but a fringe party, there to provide a window dressing to make it look like we're not just another one party state. Maybe that's what they really want.

9. You are right Springfield, this has been well planned.
And take no notice of bad tempered people, they are only striving to make themselves feel better by putting down someone else. Who gave them the right to say what topics threads should contain. Quite.:)
