Here we are, waiting...
Edited on Sat Nov-20-04 12:42 PM by TruthIsAll
Here we are, waiting for the Plame indictments from Fitzgerald.
Here we are, waiting for the full 9/11 report.
Here we are, waiting for Keith Olbermann to come back from vacation.
Here we are, waiting for Kerry to go public and tell us what he suspects.
Here we are, waiting for Al Gore to once again tell the us the truth.
Here we are, waiting for the Clinton's to stop licking Bush.
Here we are, waiting for the BBV whistle blower to come forward.
Here we are, waiting for Bev Harris to reveal what she has found.
Here we are, waiting for more academics/researchers to confirm Professor Freeman's 250 million to one odds that this election was not kosher.

Here I sit, tired of running the numbers.
Here I sit, not giving a damn about 2006 or 2008.

3. Don't
Let the bastards get you down, TIA. Even those of us who can't crunch numbers are sending you energy & praying for your stamina. You're right, the hell with 2006 right now: let those who want to plan for that today, do so, without recrimination. But let those who share your moral vision persevere.

5. I'm just hoping...
it's the LULL before the STORM. In a way, I kind of like it, because the stealth of it all, the media not being willing to pursue the possible fraud, has given some people a lot more leeway to proceed with their investigation without interference. Could turn out to be the best damn thing that could ever have happened, no matter how much we all want this shit to break out into the open.

please don't despair. Though I can empathize entirely.

I swore that I'd give up on the news after the election for a while. It doesn't inspire anything but angst and frustration. But the voting irregularities, if not rectified and exposed now, will indeed result in the elections in '06 & '08 being a total waste of time, resources, and energy.

Come on, we've got to fight to expose this now or you're right, it'll be totally futile in coming elections and the ruse of a representative legislature and of our so called democracy will become a thing of ancient history.

Take a walk and eat some comfort food, even if it's not great for you physically. It'll remind you of simpler times.

Okay, excuse the weak stab at cheerleading, but your work is truly appreciated here.

9. You need a break
Keep posting but don't work so hard. You have been tireless in your efforts and must be emotionally exhausted at this point.

I didn't even follow the campaign, just watched the debates and voted. My justification for my year long mental holiday--I could not go through the bullsh*t of the media campaign that we all knew was going to be waged against Kerry. Kerry's vote for the war meant to me that either he supported the war or was politically positioning himself, both unacceptable and impossible to defend when repukes broached the subject. I didn't hear any major clarification from him or other dems (Hillary) when the war started. They should have screamed (literally) bloody murder. Rove has recently called it the gift that kept on giving.

I still feel like I've been punched in the stomach once again and am extremely tired from the last two weeks. I can't fathom your fatigue.

You are correct. We are waiting and waiting. I do hope your stuff ends up in the history books as helping in turning around America's nightmare. I think the line about waiting for Keith to get back from vacation is awfully cute, and way too true.

Could even Samual Beckett have imagined our plight?

12. i agree you have done alot
what the heck . Is anybody important looking in to these matters? If they are, they surely would not tell us.This is so damn frustrating that the Democrats seem to be taking the position that Bush won and what can we do different next time. I am so sick of seeing them hash that out on the news, over and over. I am still shocked that there has not been any type of news coverage since the day after the election. The thing is is I thought media had nothing better to do than talk about things over and over. I cannot believe the dumb things that they are covering.

Break, Break, Break story break.

Then we will have a big DU celebration, maybe I will even believe that there is a god

13. I sure can understsnd how you feel, TruthIsAll...
I actually sent a letter to the DNC (email and snail mail) and told them that, unless some action is taken to guarantee that our votes count, there will likely be far fewer voters in future elections.

I sent the letter because I was very frustrated that it appeared that yet another election would go by unchallenged. It was sent on one of my darker days.

But, on my brighter days, I have strong positive feelings that the current administration will be brought to justice during the next four years. While I would like to think that Kerry has a chance to be president, I don't think this is likely. But, I think that it actually might be a good thing that Bush is still in office when the "sh*t hits the fan". The disgrace and publicity that will ensue BECAUSE it is about our president and his administration will be that much more satisfying than if it happened to Bush and crew, private citizens.

These, of course, are just my feelings, but they do keep me going when everything seems hopeless.

Another hug: :grouphug:

14. I'm with you. 2006, 2008: irrelevant if they get away with this.
And in the meantime, so many people are pulling their hair out, saying, "What did we do wrong? How do we get our message out better? How can we learn from the Rs about relating to the red states?"

And the truth is, we got it right. We connected on every pitch. We just weren't running the scoreboard.

And Rove is likely chuckling away at all the soul-searching and self-recrimination among Democrats, eating themselves up about what's wrong with them, when the answer is: nothing.

And it won't ever matter what we do if they get away with this.

But they won't.

15. THANK YOU TIA... you've done so much.
I read and reread your threads. Today I ran into a Dem buddy at the grocery store, talked about nothing else but how ANGRY we are and getting ANGRIER by the day.

We're not alone, either. Something has to blow.

I've never hit a person in my life, but I feel as if I could today.

Something WILL blow.
