8. exactly!
John Kerry got me and my wife so interested in politics. we looked forward to having a brighter better future with John Kerry as our leader and now our world just seems dark and empty. we both miss him dearly.

we even cried the day he conceded and the day after.. such sad and gloomy days.

i just want it to go down in history that John Kerry comes back as a surprise to the Bush adminstration to fight his way and prove that there was massive fraudulent activity across the nation. i would just love to read in history books that John Kerry prevented our country from going to hell and putting one of the worst presidents in our history in his place. then maybe after he's in office he can put Bush in jail for illegally invading Iraq.

GO JOHN KERRY! AMERICA NEEDS YOU!

5. Exactly, because the lives of millions of Americans DO depend on it.
So do our freedoms and civil rights. He promised us he wouldn't roll over and play dead like Gore did. He promised. And it's like I'm trying to teach my son, a promise is a promise.

12. Dear Senator Kerry,I would like to know how you feel about the election?
Was it all you thought it to be? Did you feel that you had the right message or was there another direction you wish you could have gone? Did you feel prepared to face the onslaught of libel against you? Why were you unable to voice your opinion more forcefully and poignantly? From what I saw of you, you would have made an excellent President. Why were you unable to attack the smear against you and
what would you tell the next candidate to watch out for? I admire your steadfast effort to help and serve this country. Thank you.

56. Dear Senator Kerry,
I want only one thing from you, but first I want to tell you what I don't want. I don't want political correctness. I don't want you to second guess yourself. I don't want you to run your ideas by your advisors. I don't want you to retreat in fear of the media. I don't want you to be afraid of the republican right. I don't want you to be afraid of what the centrists will think.

All I want is for your to use that fire in your belly and go with it. You see we all have it too, we're acting on ours by putting our own credibility on the line to total strangers everyday everywhere since Novemeber 2. I myself have risked a loss of income by telling my customers about the election fraud. Do you know how long it takes to explain this in a way that doesn't make me sound like a nutbar? I don't care though, you see, I have three teens and I am fighting for their lives, for their country, for our country and the democracy we ought to have. I have never been passionate about government like this, but I see the writing on the wall. I am one of those without health insurance, without a chance in the american dream the way things are going. I am a Christian and I literally cry everyday for the senseless loss of life in the senseless war. I need you to fight for me the way I am fighting for you. We have more to lose than you, you owe it to your base and to the country.
You have to do your part now. It is not wrong to expect this of you. Go with the fire in your belly, you were robbed of the Presidency, and we are being robbed of democracy. don't let them get away with it, Senator. Don't let them get away with it.

I look at the early videos when you were an impassioned speaker fighting for truth during the Vietnam years. I see that spirit bubbling up to the surface. It's a good idea to stay in touch with us via e-mail WITH the videos---uncensored, uncut, without the bought MSM butchering your words.

Someone described you as our "Shadow President". You can be that--our second President to the Other Half of the nation. Go for it!!

11. What we want from John
http://www.rice.edu/armadillo/Texas/jordan.html

Barbara Jordan, who made me proud to call myself a Texan, said it best.

What the American people want is an America equal to it's promise.

That's what I expected from John Kerry and John Edwards, and what I fear George W. Bush is incapable of understanding. How can he ever deliver that if he doesn't understand what it means?

So, if John Kerry should ever read my words, I'd want him emulate late great Texan's eloquence. Give us a message as pure and simple as hers was.

Because, John, if the people can't understand you, they won't follow you.

Barbara Jordan was a great American.

As is John Kerry.

Whatever happens, I will join in the fight starting in January for sweeping election reform, so that all elections are transparent and reliable... but most importantly, so that the laws against voter suppression and intimidation are ENFORCED to the letter of the law, and can never ever happen again.

33. Dear President Kerry (JFK II)
Congratulations on your Victory! Thank you for helping us prove that we Americans are neither dumb nor ugly. Thank you for being smart and strategic. Thank you for yesterday's little smoke signal (proof of intelligent life on the planet). Thank you for forcing us to finally understand the meaning and vital importance of "participatory democracy." Thank you for helping us realize that "civic responsibility" is not a board game. Thank you for inspiring millions of Americans to give it their very best shot, for inspiring a huge cadre of scientists, artists, CEOs, corporate managers, cleaning ladies, publicists, dumpsterdivers, homeless people, teachers, doctors, lawyers, writers and Indian Chiefs to perform to the best of their ability in demanding that democracy NOT die. Thank you for the beauty of this campaign.

Thank you, Mr. Kerry. We are looking forward to a wonderful Holiday Season. Thank you for allowing us to return to the childhood innocence of believing in Santa Claus, God and the Great Pumpkin.

Yours sincerely Linus,
(writing from the sincerest pumpkin patch in the world, still waiting...still believing....)

13. What I Wrote to John Kerry
This is my first post on DU ... though I've been reading it since May 2004. My letter to JK yesterday:

Greetings Kerry People.
Thanks for sending the eVideo Mail with the call to co-sponsor the bill for health insurance for 8 million children in the US. I signed it and sent the whole message to my family (5) and two closest friends. Then I forwarded the eForm regarding insurance to two colleagues. That makes 9 more people.

Most of all, thanks for saying - in writing and outloud - that every vote will be counted. You know, there are a lot of us "out here" who are angry that John Kerry told us, basically, to sit down and shut up regarding election fraud. Then, when Bill Clinton told us to "stop whining" I figured the fix was in. Well, I have my own theories, and they are not very complimentary toward the DNC. Never-the-less, I will continue to support and encourage elected Democrats to get some teeth and have a spine: Keep fighting against the harsh right-wing assault on democracy, civil rights, the economy, women, education and real moral values in the United States!!

We will not stop fighting for truth, transparency and justice - with or without the DNC, with our without John Kerry - our voices will not be silenced. You can "hear" us out there on the DemocraticUnderground, on the dailyKos, at LeagueOfPissedOffVoters, at BlackCommentator, at BuzzFlash, etc., etc... We'll be at union rallys and rallys that support public education, at war protests and peace marches; we will be "blogging" writing and calling TV, radio, newspapers and journals; we will be calling and writing the judiciary committee, Mr. Blackwell (OH), Michael Powell (FCC) and Tom DeLay; we will have neighborhood meetings to inform and mobilize our community: we will be there.

We are keeping vigil on the leaders of "Dominion Theology" and those who fund the Bush/Cheney/Rove/H.Ahmanson, Jr. Regime - so should you: www.YuricaReport.org and www.TheocracyWatch.org. No kidding. We know. Think about this: Rushdoony says, "democracy is heresy."

Thank you, John Kerry, for finally speaking up - a little late, but welcome back - about the election and about the difficult and fearsome fight against the radical right embodied in the Bush regime. They seek to harm our country in criminal and treasonous ways. We cannot continue to alienate the world. We appreciate the emails and the easy eForms so keep them coming.

We will not give up this country and we are not in the least bit fooled or intimidated by pResident Chimp and his gang of thugs!

Stay the course, Kerry People - and welcome back to the front.

16. Just speak to Justice.
An open letter to the Honorable Mr. John Kerry:

Sir:

You don't know me. I am on one of your mailing lists. I'm not even particularly a Deomcrat (nor a Republican). I am, however, a patriot. My roots in the US are traceable to Arthur St. Clair, my daughter will likely take her place in the DAR. My family has a long and proud history of serving this nation and has placed her share upon the alter of freedom.

It occured to me during the last week of the campaign, that you weren't speaking to justice. You were barely able to point out the injustice that has been served to the world by the current administration.

Is not Justice *our* fundamental core and most sacred moral value? Or do we not share that?

Is not Justice the fundamental force that drives the average citizen?

Was not Justice the force behind our founding fathers resistance of tyranny?

Was is not justice that has brought so many to our shores? (Ok, so there was that little potato thingy, I'm not counting them)

Was it not Justice that drove Dr. King's dream?

Is it not a desire for Justice that is driving so many Iraqi "insurgents"? The Palistinians? At the individual level, I believe it is true there as it is true here.

You have an unusual opportunity: A pulpit that faces all of humanity. I suggest that you use it.

Please, speak to the world about the Justice in prosecuting a war based on lies.

Please, speak to the world about the Justice in detaining aliens, who have committed very minor offences, for years without representation.

Please, speak to the Justice in deporting these same people when their families are U.S. Citizens.

Please, speak to the Justice in the ability to suspend Habeas Corpus and Warrants ala the Patriot act.

Please, by all that is good in the world, please, I beg of you, please, speak to the Justice in standing by when our elections are manipulated through demographic obstructionism, partisian control, nepotism, corporate greed and possibly fraud.

I signed your petition to co-sponsor the healthcare for children bill, but, the one I really want to sign dealing with impartial and verifiable elections was missing.

While Heathcare for children is a noble cause worth supporting, the nation is in a situation where the constitutional peril is higher than it has been since the South Carolina succession.

Please, oh please, sir, find your voice and lift it high.

Please, oh please, sir, speak to Justice!

-Hoot

18. Dear John Kerry,
I know, even though we haven't heard from you as much as all of us would like, that you have not forgotten us. I know, that you have always loved this country and have served honorably. I know, that if you could be here to comfort us during such distressed times this country has faced, you would be. I know, that you would never let the people of this great country down, without doing everything in your power. And I know, if you have the opportunity you will be our greatest president in our lifetime.

In my heart, I believe the Democratic party stands for Justice, Faith, and Traditional Values. I believe the Democratic party still believes in the American Dream, and that truth can triumph over lies. If you read this, if any of your friends read this and relate this message to you, know this: I will always believe, for better or worse, you told us the truth.

Also, I would like to help you choose different ties to wear :)

20. Here's what I'd say . . .
Dear Senator Kerry:

You have said you didn't want to challenge the election returns because you wanted to spare the nation the post-election turmoil.

First, making sure every vote is counted, even if that means lawsuits, is not "turmoil" - it's what we used to call "Democracy". Frustrating, messy, even combative: Democracy.

Second, what if you actually won? Not by some legal manipulation but just because, well, you got more votes?

That would mean that after a few weeks of "post-election turmoil" you'd be inaugurated in January and we'd be spared four years of turmoil of escalating war, destructive economic policies, rising poverty and hunger, ruination of our education system, environmental pillage, loss of civil rights, intrusion into our bedrooms, absence of real journalism, right wing policies being shoved down our throats, and the consolidation of power in the White House.

The government is not working. Turmoil is exactly what is needed.

Frankly we'd prefer your brand of "turmoil" than what we are up against now.

Once you stood up almost alone against a corrupt government. Now you have 57+ million people who've "got your back."

Together we can do this. It's worth the fight.

23. Power at the polls and beyond - No Retreat, No Surrender
This is my first post to DU. It is my story from the grassroots of your campaign. I hope you and the bloggers enjoy it - they have given me hope since you conceded.
Please, help us fight for our cherished values.

I did many things to help get out the vote before the election by registering voters, phone banking and sharing information about reliable media resources.

After  hand delivering my absentee ballot in NJ a week beflore the election; I spent election day as an ACT (America Coming Together) volunteer in PA.

The America I observed on Nov. 2 was vibrant with the spirit of democracy.  It was difficult for me to notice the party affiliations of most of the ordinary people I encountered - but I sensed their earnest determination to take the only power
they had, as citizens, in a process by which each person trusts that they will be  counted in.

I ended the day  by entertaining a large line of people in Bensalem with Power Sticks. - http://www.princeton.edu/~slalbert/stickad.html - I taught children to twirl them while ACT volunteers passed out donuts and coffee.

The long line provided the perfect example of contrast for the theme of power that usually accompanies my interactive twirling activity.

When I teach children to use Power Sticks,  I use the lesson as a model to distinguish between how power can be used as a force for positive or negative.

When the children  mastered their twirls, they felt exhuberant because they learned something that was tricky and impressed the people who watched them along the line. That was an example of good power.

I explained to them that the  citizens on line were attempting to collectively exert their power by  voting for a government that represented their values.  That was an example of good power.

According to the lawyers that were present, the reason for the long line (1.5 hrs?) was  that a  judge refused to change an unnecessary procedure that caused  a bottleneck that slowed the line down.   That was an example of bad power.

Now, the blogosphere - has produced a symphony of statistics, theories and research from  an online collaboration of citizens who want their votes to count.  That is an example of good power.

Many MSM sources have distorted the real story by demonizing the people who are sharing information as a bunch of  'conspiracy theorists' .  The bloggers are, in
fact, testing theories, but the media that demonize them  have failed in their ethical duty to inform the public of the facts that are being tested and by presenting the story in a demeaning fashion. They are the ones who are guilty of fueling a onspiracy that the facts being debated in the blogs are not facts.   That is an example of bad power.

If you want to see the encyclopedia that bloggers have assembled so far, visit this site:
 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_U.S._Election_controversies_and_irregularities

The Wikipedia entries are an astonishing collaborative effort that has emerged from the blogosphere that, I assume, is mostly populated by the technosavvy under 30 set who have a lot at stake in the outcome of the election and what is certain to follow.  After all, they will be paying the bills for it - if they survive.

Every life is sacred, every vote is sacred.  If the media is going to use exit poll statistics to determine which party has the moral high ground, than they should also remind viewers that the same exit poll data that they are using to debate these
trends shows Kerry as the winner, not the loser of the election.  There is a lot at stake in this and in every election. That is why we need to count every vote and fix the system now so that we will never have to mistrust the results again.

25. Dear Senator Kerry
Dear Senator Kerry,

Back before the Iowa cacuses, I listened with amusement as more and more Democrats announced their candicacy for President. I remember remarking to a family member, 'It's so crowded 'cause everyone knows that whoever wins will be kicking Bush out in November.' At that time, I couldn't care LESS who'd gotten the nomination, as I had the Anybody-but-Bush attitude.

But then Senator Edwards announced his intentions, and I suddenly paid attention, being that I was from North Carolina. I quickly jumped on his bandwagon, and got involved with his campaign. It was my first ever real political involvement.

Back in January of this year, after Iowa cacuses took place, I had been so excited that Senator Edwards had come in second that I really paid no attention to the fact that you won. (I remember thinkging, "John Kerry? Who's that? Don't think I've heard of him.")

But Edwards didn't get the nomination. I was so crushed after he 'conceeded' the Democratic nomination to you. Suddenly, my anybody-but-Bush sentiment wasn't so strong anymore. I had decided to give Ralph Nader my vote, and that was that. I didn't even blink when I heard rumors you were going to pick Edwards as your running mate. I was so SURE you were going to pick Gephardt.

And then you picked Edwards, and that sealed the deal for me. :) Suddenly I was back at the local Democratic Office, volunteering to make phone calls and to go canvassing.

But who WAS John Kerry? What did he stand for? I had NO idea. I'd spent a great amount of my time convincing people that Edwards was the better candidate, and that they shouldn't vote for Kerry. Now I was having to go BACK to these same people and tell them to vote Kerry.

So I started pitching a joint plan. Kerry stands for this, Edwards stands for this, together they'll be unstoppable in the White House. As I learned more, I wondered why I hadn't payed more attention to you and your campaign before. In you I saw such vision, such integrity, such strengh.

August through October I worked ENDLESSLY to help get you elected (I was sent to many wealthy, Republican neighboorhoods...man, I've never had so many doors slammed in my face in my life). I was ready to debunk the 'Unfit for Command' lies, and to point out Bush's miltary shortcomings. A lot of people were really nice, even if they were pro-Bush. Some told me it was great that 'young people' still had passion in them. Some told me in no uncertain terms to **** off. I had Nader and Badnarik supports trying to get me to see their candidate's side. I even had a doctor follow me to work one day, then talked to my boss to try to get me fired for canvassing for you. Thankfully my boss refused, and told him what I did on my own time was my business.

I feel like I grew so much from that experience. I'm so glad it happened.

I was devestated on November 3rd. I felt like everything I had done was for NOTHING. I missed work, I didn't even eat for two days.

Then 'irregularities' started popping up, and I paid attention, the memories of Bush vs. Gore still fresh in my mind. Surely, I thought to myself, it couldn't happen a SECOND time, could it?

Unfortunatly, it seems that is exactly what's happened. As more and more stories came up, and opposing sides started to throw professors at each other, it seemed to become more clear. We the people cried out for an explanation, at the very least, an investigation to put our minds at ease.

David Cobb, Michael Badnarik, and Ralph Nader stood up for us. They are conducting/planning recounts as I type this. Not necessarily because they're trying to change an election, but because they want our minds at ease.

Doubts began to plauge my mind. They still do, to an extent. After reading your email and watching you video message, I feel that this is not the case, as you reaffirmed your pledge to make sure every vote is counted.

I hope you are working on these issues behind the scenes, and you are just trying to stay off of the GOP radar.

It was hard, and it took a while, but you earned my trust. I sincerely believe you are a good man, and you have the best of intentions. I've never felt that way about any politician.

Please, I hope you are standing by your promise. While your 'defeat' on November 2nd was hard to accept, harder yet would be realizing that you were never sincere to begin with.

All that being said, I DO NOT regret all the hours of my life that went into getting you elected. As you said in your concession speech, it wasn't in vain. I have grown from such an experince.

I believe that you are the rightful winner. Once all this fraud is discovered and out in the open, you will be President-Elect. (heck, you already are in my book!) :)

Thank you, and fight on for the people,

Sarah Holden

Whether it be as President or not, this country needs you. You inspire people to do more than they are capable of, and lead people by lifting their mind and spirit, not through fear, or fright or hate. I firmly believe the White House is still within your grasp if only we can sift through all the vote manipulation. You have it within yourself to be one of the greatest Presidents of our time. Even if that is not meant to be, you still have the ability to lead us. The majority of people in this country still want to believe in democracy. Don't let him take it away from us and our children or our future generations. Not for money. You don't have to do these things alone. You have touched many lives. You gave hope to many who had none. And believe me when I tell you President Kerry, those people will stand with you now.

29. There are some beautiful letters here. I'm nominating for the front page.
John,

Thank you for standing up and fighting for democracy.

It is a brilliant move to take this fight for health insurance directly to the people. For this is an issue that most people care about, Democrat or Republican.

There are so many behind you, and there is strength in numbers. We are the people's party.

If you can do the same to help our voting system, there is hope that we can save our democracy.

And if we can do that, we have the chance to bring real peace, freedom, health, and hope to the world.

Please, give us that chance by continuing to stand up for the truth.

We know you won't give up - just as you did not give up in the BCCI investigation, no matter what anyone said or did to you. You are strong, and you are smart.

And if you don't give up, we won't either.

Peace, strength, and love to you, to your family, and to all on this earth.

-wildflower

31. Dear Senator Kerry
You don't know me, but I'm one of the millions who see the United States being hijacked by a party of thugs and crooks. As a young person I was a liberal and then as I moved into middle class America I found myself being seduced by the selfishness and greed of the Republican party. I am ashamed to admit I began voting for my pocketbook and my own selfish gain. I forgot where I had been and that there were others still there.

As I started spending time on political message boards my eyes were opened and I found myself returning to my liberal roots. Posting on a predominantly conservative message board I found myself in the company of some of the nastiest, most hard hearted people I had ever encountered. Their justification of the Iraq war cemented my transformation....I now PROUDLY wear the label LIBERAL again. I donated to your campaign and volunteered and worked for your campaign and I was proud to do so.

I lived through the Vietnam era and saw what it did to a whole generation of young men including my brother, and I once again see war tearing our nation apart. We hear rumblings of more to come...Iran and who knows who else. If you, and other likes you, cease to fight the neocons will win by default and our country will slide ever closer to a fascist state.

Many of us have lived with the labels of anti-american, anti-patriotic, terrorist sympathizers and now conspiracy theorists, but we are still here and we are still fighting. Please, PLEASE join us, please turn the boat and lead the way.

32. Dear Senator Kerry
I want to thank you for giving me hope for our country. Although the results of the election did not turn out in your favor, I implore you to continue to stand up on our behalf. Be our voice to the world. Speak out for election reform so that the many voting issues of the last two elections are not repeated. Stand up to the conservative right that seems to be running our nation into the ground. We need you.

35. Dear John,
I worked very hard on your campaign. I am 48 years old and this is the first election I have done more than vote. I live in CA, but went to Nevada with Sierra Club door to door and went all over Oregon from the coast to Medford getting the word out. I helped organize voter reg in my county.

I cried on my way home from work the day after the election when I realized you had conceded so soon. I went from saddness to anger to despondency to numbness to almost giving up politics forever to where I am now which is I don't watch the news anymore, don't read the paper, I feel like I am in hiding like you.

You must feel awful and I understand the wanting to hide, but you aren't me, you are our leader and we NEED YOU!!

I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about 4 more years with Bush, and knowing you have to work with him must be even harder for you. I know you are being careful about what you say because of still being a senator but part of the problem is your carefulness. I like how you think about things but sometimes you have to show strength by stepping out even when not all the questions are answered. I know its risky but life is a risk and true leadership is willing to take that risk.

I am one of those who voted for you in the primary and have been with you since the beginning. I saw a man with real fight in him in his twenties who really wanted to make a difference in our country and worked his way up to do that. PLEASE show me you are still that man, that I voted for!

Thank you Senator Kerry for working your whole life for a better America. Thank you for serving your country and coming home to serve your fellow comrades still fighting.

Thank you for representing the people with integrity, honor and compassion. Thank you for voting with your heart and mind on issues that are vitally important to the American people.

Those listening carefully know that you have not and will not stop fighting. I trust in your judgement and I believe that you will keep every promise you made during the campaign.

Believe us when we say we still have your back. You have the mandate of the people behind you.

41. John, you know we've got your back. And we know that you've got
ours. In the reflective and touching notes here, and in the ebullience and faith of the notes posted under "I Believe", in the thousands of hours people have spent here at DU since the election crunching statistics, gathering data, brainstorming, crying, and trying to make each other laugh, I know you see that we've got your back, and that we believe that if history were to put a man in the position of having to right this boat, and rewrite history, it would be a man like you.

We believe.

I know that anyone looking at the three debates couldn't in their right mind have chosen anyone other than you, with your eloquence and intelligence. I know I was depressed when you conceeded, but with the following days gathered a resolve to make my country better. I know you and I will do that in the coming days, months and years. 47. John I believed in you then and I sill believe in you
Let me first say I still havn't given up hope because if there is one thing you have taught us all and that is to never give up hope. I want you to know I supported you from day one and will continue to do so no matter what the final outcome of all of this. You are truly a great man that deserves great respect. If this election is not overturned as I hope and pray everyday it will be I do hope you will run again in 2008. If you do I will be one of the first ones in line to support you and fight for you all the way just as I did in this election. I truly believe this country needs you and you would be the greatest president this country has had since John F. Kennedy.

I will mever forget all that the campaign of 2004 meant to me and so many other Americans. All of us were so happy and had fun all the time even as we worked hard everyday. You brought life and happiness to so many Americans. All of those I know that worked and supported you say the same thing I do and that is we will gladly do it again. So John from me and so many others I must say we love and we got your back!

I do want to let you know just how much all your supporters that worked for you and as I said will do it again really love and respect you and hope to see and hear from you. On Nov. 2 everyone was ready for the big day. We were all so excited because in our hearts and our guts we was going to have the greatest president since Kennedy. So we all sat around talking and watching for all the numbers to come in. Everyone was so upbeat until they called Flordia for Bush. Then we all just look as if we were in shock. Then alot of others started saying come on everyone it's not as if we lost this we still have Ohio to go and you know we will win Ohio. I will never forget my dad looking at me saying oh my god they are going to do it again. They are going to steal this election. I was like him I knew something wasn't right. He said I don't know how the ba$tards pulled this off this time but they have. I told my dad not to be getting all upset yet because it was like the others had said they hadn't called Ohio and we would get it. So all of us waited and prayed. Then when Edwards came and spoke and that gave us a little boost that by that time we all needed. Then came what we all didn't want to hear and that was the hope for Ohio was over and you were conceding.

I have never seem so many people so emotional in my life over a election. First there was anger and raging anger it was. No one was angry at you they were all angry because all of us including you had just been ripped off. We were all including yourself stripped of everything that we all had worked so hard and and had been so passionate about. We all felt that we were ripped off of a president that would be the best this country has seen since Kennedy, a president that would fight for the health care for all Americans, a president that would fight for the poor, middle class, and working people of this country, a president that would restore this countries honor and respect to the rest of the world, and the list goes on. But we were all robbed of that and we still to this day believe we we were. Then sir, when you made your concession speech all the anger turned to tears and sadness. I witnessed so many men and women in tears over this and I was one of them that I will never be able to forget it. At this very moment as I type this I can tell you there are still so many devastated people over this, that still cry when they hear your voice or see you. At the same time I can tell you they are so angry at this current so called president and his administration that every time they see him or him hear their anger rages me being one of those.

All of your supporters that I worked with have said many times over that as far as they are concerned that you sir are still our president. We will stand behind you and fight no matter what it takes to hold these people accountable for what they have done to all the people of our great country and we will help you in any way we can to stop them from what they plan to do. We all agree there is no way we could ever back or have any kind of faith in the Bush adminastration. We realize that we need to unite and all come together in order to accomplish what we have to do but at the same time your supporters feel that they have to back Bush to do that. We all feel we can do what we set out to do just as well if not better by backing you. So please let's continue to work together to hold these people accountable for their failures by doing what we all did during the campaign. Keep the messages coming and anything you need done and we will be there for you. Just please don't get your hopes up of seeing us ever back Bush because that sir is the only thing I know that I couldn't and wouldn't do. As much as I respect you and look up to you that is the one thing that me and your supporters that have worked with me won't do. So let's roll up our sleeves and get back to work and bring these people to their knee's. God Bless and Thank You

50. If you don't - who will?
Dear John Kerry,

I believed that you were the man to stand up and stand strong. If you don't tackle these fraudulent voting practices = who will? If you don't fight back over where this country is headed = who will?

It is a much larger picture and I think you know that. Our country has been overtaken. Our rights are being stripped one by one. Bush and his regime are simply out of control.

Be the patriot we know that you are. Fight. And we'll fight with you.

i'm in the process of putting together the I BELIEVE thread with the nonsense edited out. After copying and pasting into Word, it is 99 PAGES LONG!!!! So i will be going through it and editing out signatures, unnecessary images/links, and any of the bs or 'get over it' posts. i don't unerstand though, what we can actually do with it - someone mentioned getting these threads on the front page....but what do you mean? on the front of the site's main page? And by editing - do you mean editing the thread itself as is on the board, or editing on some other program, and then submitting the edited thread?

I'm confused....i know i'm taking too far but oh well! i believe dammit!

I already nominated it, but maybe having many nominations might make a difference to the moderators? I'm not sure how that works.

ON EDIT: Faye, I forgot to answer one of your questions. When I said "front page" before I meant the home page of this site.

Also: maybe you could take the Word document you're putting together and send it to the Kerry campaign here:

Dear John Kerry:

Like millions of others, I worked my heart out for you these past months. The apparent disinterest, on your part and on the part of the DNC, in raising holy hell about widespread felonious voter suppression and apparent fraud in the counting of the votes has been a real blow to me.

Frankly, I don't see the point of continuing to work on the campaigns of candidates when the electoral machinery is clearly controlled by the Republican crime machine.

If you want to lead an assault on the issue of electoral fraud, I will follow you. If you want to lead an armed resistance to the fascist takeover I will follow you. If you want to lead a strategic retreat to Canada I will follow you. But I am not interested in working on another election, just to see it also stolen as the DNC, once again, stands by in embarrassed silence.

And I don't believe for a moment that you have stopped fighting for us! That's just not who you are.

What happened across this great nation on November 2nd is just plain wrong and a global embarrassment. It's pretty simple: Americans have the right to vote and have their vote count. It's the ONLY voice we have that can truly change the horrible direction in which this country is headed at so many levels!

I was with you on the campaign...waiting hours to be at a couple of your rally's, taking your message to friends, family, coworkers, strangers. I was with you in the voting booth.

I'm still with you. We WILL prevail...together!

God Bless!

59. Senator Kerry: Lives are in the Balance
Dear Senator Kerry,

Is help on the way?

Lives are in the balance in the United States: Children, the elderly, workers, those in need of health care and food and housing and jobs.

Lives are in the balance in Iraq: The Lancet estimates that as many as 100,000 Iraqis have died in Bush's immoral pre-emptive war. You did not say that you would withdraw our troops, but you did say that you would fight 'smarter.' I hope this means that you would stop the killing of innocent civilians. The US operation in Fallujah is nothing short of genocide - the rest of the world knows this even if most Americans do not.

You must have known that massive vote fraud by computer hacking was a very real possibility in this election. Why in the world is Bev Harris of Black Box Voting the only person on the ground in Florida requesting the information that could prove vote fraud!?!? Do you have our backs?

I don't believe that you 'intended to throw the election' since the beginning (as some have alleged). The look of shock on your face when you conceded was clear.

The election in 2000 was stolen, in part, with the aid of computer hackers. State races in 2002 and 2003 were stolen. This election feels to me very much like a last stand. If the crooks currently in power now 'own' the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government there will not be a free and fair election again in my lifetime. Next time they won't have to engage in voter suppression. Every precinct in the country will have more than enough voting machines. And, not a single vote will count.

You volunteered for duty Senator Kerry. If you aren't willing to risk your career to take a stand against vote fraud in this election then nothing you have done up until now will matter much when you are gone. Now is not the time to maintain your dignity. Now is the time to fight. Even the Dalai Lama says that there are times when violence is justified -- when lives are in the balance.

Is help on the way? Please, please make it so.

62. LET'S START OUR OWN COUNTRY
What I would tell Kerry is that if the recount doesn't work, he should demand another election. It can be funded by Teresa Heinz Kerry and George Soros.

Okay, just kidding. But seriously, we are really living in two Americas here. It would be really wonderful (although a complete fantasy) if all the blue states could just merge with Canada. That would make Canada one of the most powerful and populous countries in the world.

Can a state just decide to secede from the nation at any point? I think we should start with Maine.
