Period.” Gives a little context to Senator Kerry’s opaque mass e-mail and on-line video statement from Friday afternoon."

However, Keith needs to brush up on his math:

"But, Turley noted, “those votes are not opened by Congress until January 6. Now, if there are controversies, such as some disclosure that a state actually went for Kerry (instead of Bush), there is the ability of members of Congress to challenge.” In other words, even after the December 13th Electoral College Vote, in the extremely unlikely scenario that a court overturns the Ohio count, or that the recount discovers 4,000 Gahanna-style machines that each recorded 4,000 votes too many for one candidate, there is still a mechanism to correct the error, honest or otherwise."

By my calculations, 4,000x4,000 = 16 million votes

In Ohio, 4,000 machines padding 100 extra votes will do it, or 100 machines with an extra 4,000 votes. That would be 400,000 extra votes to the Thief. Remove those votes and it's bye-bye bush.

That Kerry was standing back, and allowing Nader and the Glibs ;) to get the recounts. I also felt that perhaps Nader was in on it, like a sting from the beginning of his "run" for President. He allowed the Republicans to get him on ballots, and allowed them to fund him. Yet at some point he had a private meeting with Kerry. Was a plot hatched?Notice of course that Nader selected a small state that Kerry won for his recount, and decides to select voting precincts that Bush was supposed to have lost by between 5%-15%. All having optical scanners. If it pans out, and Kerry actually had more votes in those areas, and Bush less, fraud might be able to be proven. Then Kerry can openly come out and contest the results in Florida. This is what I have been hoping to be the scenario all along.

Then, when Kerry's silence is deafening, I have thoughts of his being in collusion with Bush's forces, and Nader has only rediscovered his roots, and is doing it all by himself.... wanting to be the champion of We The People once again.

By the way, I also wrote to Fred Grimm at the Herald after his first story and asked that he "reconsider" his position and HE DID. In his second piece he apologized and was far more open minded. Much more open then Jim Defede who is on my next list to write to.

Today's Herald had an rather annoying piece they pirated from the AP called "Conspiracy theorists still question Bush's victory".
Might be time to write to Mr. Fiedler and remind him that those of us who believe it was a conspiracy, do not believe it was a theory and ask that he stop using that term until it is proven that it was only a theory.

My "favorite" line in this piece is " Despite internet-circulated speculation that Bush's victory was somehow rigged, his clear margin in the popular vote count is much wider then any of the problems reported to date, be they failures in technology, problems with provisional ballots or partisan shenanigans".

Partisan Shenanigans? Give me a break. How about MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD?

SECAUCUS— The headline might be a little expansive since the national headquarters has not yet echoed it, but it's still pretty impressive as it is:

"Kerry/Edwards Campaign Joins Ohio Recount."

The news release was issued this afternoon over the signature of Ohio's Democratic chairman, Dennis White: "As Senator Kerry stated in his concession speech in Boston, we do not necessarily expect the results of the election to change, however, we believe it necessary to make sure everyone's vote is counted fairly and accurately." White called for witnesses, volunteers, and donations.

The statement ends nearly three weeks of official Democratic ambivalence towards the formal recount process in the election's decisive state. As late as Friday, Senator Kerry's email to 3,000,000 supporters contained a seemingly ambiguous reference to that process, which began with the phrase "Regardless of the outcome of this election, once all the votes are counted, and believe me they will be counted, we will continue to challenge the administration."
