I wonder what would happen if a reporter asked Bush |
|
if the election was fixed. I imagine he would have a reaction similar to this film clip: http://www.propagandamatrix.com/multimedia/9_11laugh.mpgThis is pretty funny.

When Bush is asked a very indirect question about advanced knowledge of 9-11. . .
"I know you said there'll be a time for politics, but you've also said you wanted to change the tone of Washington. Howard Dean recently seemed to muse aloud whether you had advanced knowledge of 9-11. Do you agree or disagree with the RNC that this sort of rhetoric borders on political hate speech?"
. . . he's stunned and struggles. Now, Bush simply could have answered yes or no, I agree or disagree, but he's so shocked by the question's content (". . . you had advanced knowledge of 9-11," I'm sure), he totally missed the easy opportunity to cash out and ends up shrugging, muttering to himself, looking anywhere but at the camera, hanging himself on an unrelated phrase early in the question and repeating it (". . . time for politics. . . "). Finally, after 15 seconds, he doesn't even answer the question (having forgotten or not heard the question at all, I suppose), and there he reveals to us what he was really thinking about and struggling to answer (that phrase again: ". . . you had advanced knowledge of 9-11"): "It's an absurd insinuation."
That last phrase is pure denial. _________________

7. It was bush's response at a press conference in reference to Dean's |
|
statement about the speculation of bush having advance knowledge of 9/11.
bush shrugs, looks to the left and right, mumbles, mutters, laughs it off.
This is the video clip that was cited as a classic case of what to look for when someone is lying, and the conclusion is -- ta da!! -- bush was lying.

The rightwingers invented it. They can gnash their teeth in disgust and accuse Democrats of doing things that they are far more guilty of. Strom Thurmond being the most notable example. What a pitiful sad piece of white meat. After all those years in Congress, where did he really have to go?

Bush knew about 9/11 BEFORE it happened?
That's hard to believe. He didn't even read the Nov. 6th memo entitled "Al Qeaada determined to attack."
Come on!
And a President is always supposed to remain calm in an emergency, that's why he didn't stand up and leave the classroom. Remember, he thought it was pilot error? Well, he must have thought that there were 2 pilots that couldn't fly very well. This is an absurd insinewatingion--- er insenyouation. Absurd thing!
You guys, honestly!
I'm shocked.
Sincerely, Michael Lewis

http://homepage.mac.com/duffyb/nobush/iMovieTheater217.htmlIt's at the end of the clip where O'Reilly asks Bush about his service record and the attacks on Kerry by the Swift Boat Veterans.

14. I do look forward to more Bush "press conferences" |
|
maybe we'll get one or two in 2005 but as lame as the press is there's usually a question or two that makes * squirm.

17. Take another look at this clip...think "bulge"... |
|
It seems pretty clear to me that he is stalling for time until he receives an answer to the question from his earpiece. It takes awhile, but when he finally hears it, he repeats it right back out:
"It's an absurd assinuation"
Hmm. Think he meant to say "insinuation". Must have been some static on that thing.
Do you really think that * can come up with phrases like "absurd insinuation" all on his own?
